Jessops D700 - Good deal?

Depends if you really need that lens or not and if not, what you could get back selling it on.

If you want that lens then it looks like a decent enough deal, especially if you can find a discount voucher online.

Looks as if the lens would do about £250 or so on Ebay and the kit is £200 more than buying just a body, but if you factored in Ebay and Paypal fees it would come out just about even, so if you didn't want that particular lens maybe it's not such a great deal after all.....

Thanks for the help, would rather get hold of the 17-55 f2.8. Wallet started to itch then :¬)

Might hold off until xmas to see if anyone offers more encouraging deals.

Only thing is....the D700 is an FX camera and the 17-55 is a DX lens :nono:

Serious point - if you are looking at the 17-55 f/2.8 and think it will be a good lens for the D700, I would re-think your purchase regarding the D700.
