I have been flicking through this forum and have found a number of posts
complaining about Jessops Customer Service.

Unfortunately things are not improving. I ordered a camera from them before Christmas and when it finally arrived (next day delivery does not mean "Next Day" at Jessops) the box appeared to have already been opened.

On closer inspection we found the battery had been removed from the box.

What annoyed us the most, was that it was obvious that the box had been interfered with but Jessops still sent it out.

I am now in the 3rd month of trying to get this sorted out. They have taken the camera back but I still have not received a replacement camera or my money back.

However my biggest gripe is with their Customer Services who have a most appalling attitude to their customers. No matter how many E Mails you send or telephone calls you make, absolutely no response is forthcoming. I've eventually managed to contact their "Watchdog" a Lorraine Cassie and have been ignored by her as well.

Does anyone have contact details as to where I could take my problem higher in Jessops?

Many thanks skiwiz. I will let you know how I get on.

Why not go direct to Trading Standards to investigate for you.

Did you pay with a credit card?

If so there might be something credit card company can do.

I really dislike going into Jessops, the last time I went was to get a cheap, small CF card to get me by until the ones I'd ordered arrived. They wanted £25 for the exact same card that Asda's had a mile away for £15. When I asked if they would price match or at least give a discount they duly "flatly refused". Which was followed by me walking out and going to save myself a tenner and give me a bit of exercise at the same time.
The only other time I went in was to price up a 100-400 L and a 100 2.8 L macro and they declined to order them in for me, even though I had £2000 cash in my hand, and said I would have to have them delivered at home instead of collecting in store. I went to L.C.E. about half a mile away, bought them there and then and got a £45 discount.

Ohhh don't get me started.... I was on the Internet site looking for a new tripod and came across manfrotto ones at what I thought to be a very good price. So I picked out 2 that I liked and used the order and collect in store.

I got up to the store give them my ref number, the manager came to me and said they only had one and it's a display model and that one of the quick release clips was broke off!

So in short it was a bipod

So then anywho I got on my phone out and looked up the other one which was £10 more it said they had 2 in stock... but the manager he couldn't find them and that he thinks someone stole them.

I wouldn't even go near that shop if they were giving stuff away for free

I ordered a D700 from them 3 weeks ago and was told delivery in 7-10 days. When i phoned first time to ask where it was i was told there on back order and if i didnt like it i could go elsewhere.Only stuck with them due to there being an actual shortage of bodies and no one is interested in price matching their £1741 with free cf card.
