BIG RANT (quick one)

After a bit of advice my manager phoned Jessops and asked if they would price match Warehouse on a 30d + 17-85mm (£1079) plus inquired about finance ie buy now pay in 12 months, was told it would take around 30 mins to sort finance. Lady on the phone said yes, just go to one of our shops and show them a print off from Warehouse etc...He phoned warehouse to make sure they had stock, they did. He then phoned Derby Jessops who said they need to check price match first, they did and all was OK. So he booked an hour off work plus dinner break went to derby, 20min drive plus hassle to park. Got in the shop was showed the camera etc...sorted the price match came to pay for it, told the girl who by the way had usual Jessops I can't be a***d attitude, can you process the finance, she said no will have to check with head office, who then said we can't do the finance as the 'deal' doesn't match Warehouse exactly, ie they only off 9 months credit. How s**t is that, so he said stuff you you've just lost a sale. He's now gonna go back to warehouse express.

So if any Jessops people are reading this sort your selfs out, why say all along yes to everthing, then at the last minute NO. POOR service!!!!:bang: :razz: :bonk: :thumbsdown: :suspect: :boxer: :rules: :coat:
 
Sounds to me like he had a typical no brainer assistant ! The finance isnt price matched as well lol In fact the finance shouldnt be involved in the price matching at all !

Sounds like due to an incompetent half witted shop assistant they have lost a sale !
 
i'd get him to write into Jessops head office and tell the tale.

At least by sacking a ½wit, someone else will be spared the anger.
 
I'm surprised they were willing to price match warehouse express at all. These days they normally only price match against their own jessops in disguise sites.

They have been bigging up their DSLR price matching a lot lately, i think thats all they will price match at all now ! Its very random and depends on the shop ! lol
 
The lady at web sales in head office said yes to the price match and also she said just go along to a store and they will sort it (or not as this case proved) Its just a shame 'cause I had such a good service from head office when I bought mine, they priced matched knocking £100 quid off and chucked in a picturemate epson who's offer expired the previous week but was still on the website. Hay ho.:shrug:
 
soon as jessops ate up all the decent camera shops service went down hill a long way!
 
Yup sounds liike the monkey not knowing what the organ grinder wants doing.

The finance is absolutely NOTHING to do with the price match.
