Day 323.

A nice day spent looking forward to tonight's Flickr meet, praying that the promised rain would hold off and make it a nice night.

I fell in love with my 35mm 1.8+D40 combo all over again, such a inconspicuous street photography camera, even though here it's a bit obvious that I got caught on.

Work tomorrow. :)

That is a stunning portrait Jonny, at first I thought it was a friend you were shooting. Process is top rate too mate (shadows look great).

Day 324. Self Explanatory?

An off the cuff drink was had last night. It's always good when you wake up in bed with a rock band microphone wrapped round your wrist.

Was a mini celebration of the new job, and wetting the babies head. Speaking of which, where are those headache tablets......

Day 325.

A day with a sore head. :(

Originally intended a trip to the newly reopened Ulster Museum, but got distracted on the way. I've previously explored this place and had never really made as much as I could of the graffiti. It's been burnt again, and the larger walls outside have been freshly done, some of it is really very impressive. :)

That's great Jonny, I've taken a couple of graffiti shots around Fratton Park in Portsmouth, love it myself (in the right place).

Thats cool, i like it when its well done, seems no-one has the skills for it round here, well anything that is any good

Thanks folks, the stuff here is really very good. The site is a long way from the centre of Belfast so it's quite surprising when you get here. Might be back tomorrow as well

Day 326. The Pink Ninja And I..

A day spent back at the animal testing lab, was nice to have something wider than 35mm this time, yesterday I was stuck with the 35mm 1.8 and had to take 11 shots of the graffiti and stitch them. :)

The pink undercover ninja came with me today, she didn't fall over or straggle too much. ;) View on large here purely for the comedy face mask/head gear. :)

Day 327.

The last day of my unemployment. This mornings breakfast can be seen here.

Up early tomorrow, lunch is made and ready. I'm in tomorrow to pick up uniform, van and to spend the day with another engineer to start my "Training" :)

Day 328.

A sleepless night, not sure if it was nerves or excitement but I hardly slept at all.

I've had a good feeling about the job since the interview and thankfully today it was justified. It's really nice to work for a company that obviously respects and looks after it's engineers. My last company would have complained about the cost of the £20 safety boots they had to buy you, Oasis spent over £200 on me today. Two pairs of Snickers and a pair of CAT boots.

I feel special. :D

Day 329.

Another day spent in the workshop, I actually got my hands on a few machines to service by myself today. It doesn't appear to be the most technically challenging job I've ever had, but I'm waiting to be proved wrong. :)

Had an eye opener of sorts today with a pound a go, one armed bandit. The machine logs the amount of money it's taken in and the amount of money it's paid out.. I was shocked!!

Taken on the iPhone, hence the crap picture.

Day 330.

Another day, Another iPhone picture. I'm determined to get at least something semi-decent from it.

Spent the entire day with another engineer from my section, so the first true representation of what the job is actually like. Not exactly pushed or in any way what I would call hard work, so it's all good!! However, it is turning out to be quite a mentally challenging job, which is exactly what I was hoping for.

Was confined to the workshop for the first half hour this morning, then off to Bangor. We traced a note reader error, basically stripped the whole machine and put it back together again to get one tiny cable replaced. Ended the day in Belfast working on a touch screen that was playing up. Thoroughly enjoying it. :D

It was Marc, I've realised in 3 days how much I actually hated the other job. :)

It was a massive gamble taking the redundancy without a job that I really wanted to take, especially in this current financial climate. I had plenty of faith that I would be seen as employable by someone but after a few let downs I was beginning to worry!! :D

Day 331.

Another good day at work, spent all day with the same engineer who has the unenviable task of training me for another 2 weeks. God help him. :)

A determined effort to get something different today, it's only a shot of Marley though. I don't really have any free time during the day, so it's either going to be a shot from the iPhone or a random filler when I get home. :D
