JD's 365.

DSCL rules mate.
I've given up with my local printers, last time I was there he did my photo half price as it didn't even match his own screen!

I've always used DSCL, just thought I'd give a chance to a local firm. But it was dreadful mate. :(

Fab news well done :) We have friends that do any printing for us!

Did i tell you im getting that Bradley Smith pic you like of mine signed :D

Lovely Marley pic even if it is grainy.

Ta Lisa, I wish I had friends like you!! :D

Day 294.

4032335293_4445daca4b_o.jpg

A day spent preparing for my driving holiday, charging batteries, wiping cards, ironing clothes and just generally packing.

So here's the bags waiting by the door. Unfortunately (Or fortunately for some) I won't be updating my 365 until Monday the 26th. Uncertainty over internet access and my unwillingness to shoot jpeg mean there will be a mass upload on Monday night. :)

Go on, shoot jpeg, or at least you can shoot jpeg + RAW and sort them out when you get home.

Enjoy your driving holiday, should get some cracking pictures

I won't be able to post my own shots or comment on others from Monday for at least a week after (due to our house move) so will have to catch up after that ;)

Have a great time JD, looking forward to all that Raw goodness! :D

Thanks guys, hopefully the weather will be nice!! :D

The mass update is under way. :D

Day 295 The Lake District

4046427240_3ac9a60fc6_b.jpg

A long day spent driving. I think I was on the go for 19 hours in total. After the Lakes I headed to see @gazedd in Widnes. Had a lovely Indian takeaway then drove for another hour or so to my Dad's in Shrewsbury.

I would definitely recommend the Lakes for a visit, I got lucky with the weather. :)

Day 296

4045744713_eb98fe0bb1_o.jpg

A relaxing day spent in Shrewsbury with my Dad. Went shopping, played with the cats, played Forza 3, (I just had to buy it) and went for dinner to Nando's. Word of advice, Hot means Hot.

I took far more film shots today. My Dad also gave me his old Praktica mtl3 with a 50mm 2.8 and a 135mm 3.5 prime including a Tamron 2x teleconvertor. All it needs is a battery and it's good to go!!

Day 297 Oulton Park

4046549584_76e0970277_o.jpg

THE Oulton Park shot, couldn't go away without getting it. :)

Spent all day Saurday at Oulton Park racetrack at the last race meeting for the season, was the Wirral motorbike club's last meeting as well. The lasting impression I took away was how amateur our racetracks are. Oulton was extremely well organised, it was clean, easy to navigate around, excellent to watch from and massive!! The only damper on the day funny enough was rain.

Day 298 Ferry Home.

4046578916_706fc0fcdc_o.jpg

I had another long lie in, and was originally intending to try and catch a sunset over the Lakes on the slow road home to the ferry. But, what with the clocks changing I missed it by about an hour. It was also raining.

My original ferry time was for 950am on Monday, so I had planned to drive up on Sunday and find somewhere to stay before the ferry. But the lack of anywhere to stay in Stranraer meant I decided to change my ferry time and take the 12am one home. Arrived in Belfast at 3am and was in bed by half past.

A great weekend, would definitely recommend the Lake District, very photogenic. :)

Love the land in the lake district shot, but the sky/clouds look a little too 'processed'.

Oulton park shot is a great action shot too, interesting background, but just the right DoF to not make it too distracting, spot on mate ;)

Nice shots form a decent break.

Love 295 and 297 but then i love watching sidecars.

You certainly filled your time well.

Thanks guys. :D

I've actually been working on the processing technique quite a bit recently, this is the toned down version. ;) I can't get it any subtler than it is now. :) Need to find me some LR Plugins!!

Day 299. (Only 66 to go!!)

4047685305_3a7a227207_o.jpg

This is the new member of the ever expanding camera family. I found out after a lot of searching today that a LR9 battery will fit. It will underexpose when the battery is new, and overexpose when it's old. A 1.35v tiny battery is hard to find!! So a good old 1.5v £2 job will do rightly!!

Spent today unpacking and playing xbox. I sent off the prints as well, hopefully they will be happy. :)

Fantastic retro camera mate, I think they look great as subject matter in their own right, let alone using them :D

Will you even need to use the meter mate? I guess you'll have other cams on you anyway, you can use the D90 as a meter with test shots and everything :D

Very nice!

Got my mum on the look out for my dads old cam, his was also used for motorsport :)

Film is the new medium for motorsport, you haven't lived until you've tried to pan with a 50mm on a Nikon FM. People look at you weird. :D

I'd love to just take a film camera out, no digital. I haven't got the faith in myself to guess the exposure correctly yet. :)

Day 300. 65 to Go!! Wahey!!

4051185096_e189e988dc_o.jpg

The end is in my sights, the home straight has been reached. Thank God. :)

A day spent cleaning the house, unpacking and getting films developed.

I've lost some motivation for this, but lack of such is to be expected I feel. :(

Definitely won't quit though, so expect some random filler shots over the next 65 days.

Same feelings here I'm afraid mate.
At least you got some vibrant colours in todays :D

Day 301. Sleepy And Tired.

4053541749_9b3b29c98e_o.jpg

Another filler as promised. :(

I was at a job interview today, went reasonably well. Even getting an interview seems to be something of an achievement these days.

Marley and I are both dog tired, think we will sit in front of the fire, watch TV and fall asleep. :)

Shame Shrewsbury was wet for you when you were here!! :P Love the Lake District and the fire shots

Day 302 Marley And Thomas.

4056481072_43760e75dc_o.jpg

Look someone else in a 365 shot!! Oh my God!! The horror!!

Another day spent applying for jobs and another interview as well. This job I really want, so I'm not going to jinx it, but I feel like I'm a shoe in for it. :)

Off now for a night of beer and pizza and dvds. My life is torture sometimes...
