Day 192. The Other One.

Uploaded a day and a bit late because of over indulgence of alcohol. Spent tonight at my Mums for a wee get together, this is Scooby, another Labrador. My mum thinks we should swap dogs, Scooby is a boy and is lazy and chilled out, whereas Sasha is hyperactive....

Day 193. Untitled.

Spent today searching for an abandoned school in Pomeroy, Co.Tyrone, hungover... We found it in the end quite easy actually!! We also found another school in Strabane, Co.Londonderry to explore as well.

This is an abandoned cottage on the Sperrins, a range of "mountains" that runs through the middle of Northern Ireland. It was taken with the D40 and 50mm f/1.8 combo that I'm really enjoying using at the minute. I still take the D90 and all the trimmings but the D40 has turned into my P&S!!! It's also turned into Pete's P&S as well.....:thinking:
 
I can really understand you liking the D40 combo, know what you mean by it being your P&S. It's pretty much what I always recommend to people who are thinking of a compact.

It was a friend of mine that recommended it to me as a good starting camera, I used it today as well, but this time I had the 70-300VR + D40 combo and the D90 + 17-55 2.8. Was tempted to go the whole hog and slap a flash on the D90....
 
Day 194. Fueling The Twelfth?

Spent today at the Twelfth celebrations in Belfast. Enjoyable day, sunshine and a fish supper, what more do you want!!

Got asked numerous times today, "Are you with the Paper??" I nearly gave in and said yes, but sadly, that would have been a lie...Maybe it was the two camera's and a massive camera bag that gave the wrong impression. ;)

Day 195. Nikon Acquisition Syndrome.

Not much to do today, off work and have spent the majority of it bored senseless!! It's normally at this time of the month that I decide what new shiny bits of kit not to buy on pay day. (We get paid the 16th every month, very strange)

When I say NOT to buy, there is no point in me resisting the urge, I WILL end up buying it. So, I've decided to give in early and just go ahead and get it. It's a toss up between 2 SB-600's, saving for a 70-200VR + 1.7 or 1.4 TC combination, or a new Iphone!! OR, a 105mm Siggy Macro. I'd also love another wider fast prime!!

The Iphone gets my vote!! :)

Anyway it's completely different, yours had Sony stuff in it. And if we are going to be pedantic, you originally stole it off me anyway!! :lol:

The van is a company vehicle!! :p I'm very silly with my money, would not recommend my way of shopping...if I see it, and I want it, I buy it. Normally not thinking about the consequences...(Bills are always paid in full, by the way) ;)

I've my heart set on an iPhone Julian, and maybe a wider prime..something like a 20ish mm...:)

If you got the money and the main stuffs paid why not, its not like its any good once your dead, just dont have kids :lol:
