Well caught Jonny!

Cheers Dave. It's still not soft at 300mm!!!

How long did you have to wait for a gul to land after applying the glue ;)

They seemed to perch here quite a lot, I had to wait until one sat long enough. :)

Day 188. Oh Look!! A Ship!!

3697841033_127814d85d_b.jpg

Not a bad day overall, I pick up my brand new van tomorrow. I've been in a rental, my new van is the same but the load space in the new one has been fitted out properly. No more working out of boxes!!

Anyway, was in Larne this afternoon. I've wanted to take a picture of the Chaine memorial for quite a while and couldn't pass up this oppurtunity!!

The Chaine memorial was built by the folk of Larne in 1887/8 as a mark of respect to James Chaine, who had bought Larne harbour for 20k in 1872 when the future of the port was in doubt. He invested heavily, setting up a transatlantic service between Glasgow, Larne and New York. In February 1874 he was elected as a Conservative MP. He died of pneumonia in 1885.

here was me expecting something with sails, not a ferry!! nice capture though:thumbs:

yes, damn you!!! ***shakes fist at screen***

Day 189. Can You Tell I'm Bored Of Landscapes??

Very busy morning, was at the office from 8am shifting over everything from the rental van to the new van. There was exactly 62 miles on the clock. Spent the rest of the day in around Ballymena and drove the scenic way home. I've used this view before for a shot, but decided to add a bit of "foreground interest" this time! ;)

Did you get a shot of the odometer? You don't see less than 100 miles often...

Day 190. Where Did I Put My Beer?

EXIF: 55mm f/2.8 1/250 ISO 200 STROBIST: Flash 1m behind camera 10 degrees left, 0.5m lower. +0.3ev.

Normal day at work, (crap) I made a Chilli tonight, just an uncle Ben's with rice. Was rated as 3 peppers on the jar. Didn't really have any effect until afterwards, so the hunt for beer commenced. You don't have far to go in my house!! Actually, I'm staring in the direction of the fridge.....

 you look scared of the camera, I think a lot of togs are...

189... your just showing off your new van, blooming white van man :p

190... your braver than me, ill never do a sp, think too much of my camera and the other members here andon flickr! I think a beer or 2 is in order just for doing a sp

Thanks Lisa. At the start of my 365 I hated seeing pictures of myself, taking an sp was completely out of the question. Gladly this is something that I've completely overcome, I'm now a camera hogger!! (completely debateable whether more pictures of me are a good thing, I've had great compliments about my eyes?)

Ive always hated pics of myself (and it goes a little deeper) so im 99% sure there will be no sp's from me.

Eyes are always a great factor in anyone and most stunning :) If you got the confidence to do sp's and in yourself as a person then it doesnt matter what others think, just enjoy it :D

Day 191. Nah, Needs Garlic..

1/60 f/4.2 11mm ISO 6400 No NR.

Nice and sunny day, I'm off on an extended long weekend, don't go back to work until Wednesday. So you can guess what I'll be doing!! I will have to stop taking pictures of myself, it's becoming quite worrying.

The long weekend is due to "The Twelfth" which I'm sure you have all heard about. THE TWELFTH celebrates the Williamite victory of 1690 when the forces of William, Prince of Orange defeated those of his father-in-law, James Stuart, at the Battle of the Boyne. Celebrating the Williamite victory is not a 'sectarian coat-trailing exercise'. The Twelfth is Europe's largest indigenous folk and cultural festival. Historically and culturally, it inextricably links Ulster with Europe. But most, use it as an excuse for a good session!! I however, will hopefully be trying in some way to tog the event and keep a "digital diary" on proceedings from the point of view of one band and one band only. :)

I recognise that shelf, looks like the inside of a Samsung fridge, but our beer is on the top shelf.

whats the needs garlic title for then??

damn, aren't i a sucker for a random title!!!
