How did you get the work?
I hope they use some of your shots, it'll be a good boost for you :D
 
Sasha looks lovely :)

I've always wanted to try lightroom, but now use Canon DPP (free) and is very good plus using photoshop for heavy processing.

It was done through a Flickr friend who needed a second shooter, so I jumped at the chance!!

Lightroom's weird mate, I'm a big photoshop fan but just thought I'd try it for a while. :thumbs:
 
Day 145.

Still feel knackered, collapsed into bed again last night. On the agenda this evening is a load of processing so this is just a quick grab shot. can you tell what it is?? It's not as sharp as I would like but don't really have the time tonight to try any more. We have a meeting with the wedding couple on Wednesday, well Bern does, so we are trying to get a CD done with all the shots so they can pick what they want. So I'm going through a LOT of basic processing tonight, levels crops etc.
 
It's really lovely Marc isn't it?? I find Corona on it's own lacking in the taste department but the lime just adds a bit of zing..Right away to get one (or 4) Did I say that I'm off the rest of the week already?? :p

Last day of work for the rest of the week, I'm about to head to the offies to get some more weird beer. Can you become an alcoholic in 3 days?? I'd actually meant to take this shot from the seaside but thought something different might work better.​

In the same sort of job as you, out and about all over the country all day.

You definitely should, good thing about a 365 is that you want to stop and have a look, instead of blasting on by.

Day 147. Barbours Threads.

Spent today with a couple of urbex buddies from England who came the whole way here for a road trip of sorts. We made it to a few sites, this is the first time I have been here and definitely not the last. Loved it!! Anyway, I'm tired and need sleep. Another big trip tomorrow, so expect something along similar lines!!

I'm really beginning to like Lightroom, I used another preset on this shot but muddled about with a few things to produce this, definitely a lot easier than Photoshop. :)​
 
Love that urbex shot JD. Some dedicated folks you have with you ;)

Think I'm going to have to try a demo of Lightroom.....
 
Day 148. Millford Bakery.

Another hectic exploring day, I loved it!! We had planned to do a bakery in Co.Donegal (this one) and Killashandra convent near Cavan. Loads of driving, and I'm knackered again. Was quite surprised to find that, since my last visit, Killashandra has been secured somewhat. All ground floor windows had been bricked up all around the convent, meaning we had to think "ninja style" to gain access.

Photography wise, not a great day. I've been to these places a few times before, basically a run around for the other two, just didn't feel fresh enough to sustain my interest, right having a few beers then BED for Jonny.​
 
Sounds like a hard day exploring, bet you have to watch your footing up there, some big holes :eek:

It's been like this for ages, according to paper reports the owner lives abroad and has done for 40+ years. So he obviously really couldn't care. :)
 
Day 149. WW2 Refugee Camps. (kind of)

Quite a relaxing day in comparison to the last couple. I've know about 3 of these camps for a while and was always convinced that there was a couple more hidden away. Unfortunately, 2 of the sites have had houses built on them, the other 2 I've explored before, and some of them can be seen in my flickr set. They are basically what they say on the tin (hut) Refugee camps for Gibraltar Evacuees during WW2. How they felt coming here is quite hard to imagine, I'm sure the conditions were terrible.

I hadn't intended to use this shot for the 365, but ended up going to the cinema and I did take these today!!
 
I'm liking your urbex stuff....I'm a bit of an armchair explorer :lol:

The camp signs are good, they represent a lot of suffering and loss, yet seem a little under stated...or perhaps modest would be a better way of looking at it?
 
Modest is a perfect way to describe them, was almost as if the council felt obliged to put them up. They are hard to spot from the road/lane, I've been hunting for more information on the sites, but it's late and I can't be annoyed!!

What with the glorious weather, the usual Saturday morning shopping with my Gran, and attempting to become an alcoholic from 1 o'clock this afternoon, I have to be completely honest and say that I forgot completely about my 365. So pardon the crap photo from the phone. Was taken at a mates BBQ, I'm only in and am very pished. It's now taken me 3 attempts to type this out...Jonny need BED!!​
 
Thanks Marc, I haven't been around much lately but should hopefully get through all the 365's tonight. I'm hunting through today's photos now, trying not to pick an urbex one to use!! :D
