I tried logging on a minute ago and it said something about a Java error, I know for a fact the one that tried to install itself wasnt the right one so I updated it with the right one from the orecle team. Anyone else had this problem?

Also if anyone could help me, I want to get rid of spyware on my girlfriends laptop but I tried one and it asked me to pay at the end. Anyone know of a free one or anything like this, that I could use?

Many thanks

And a merry christmas.

Daniel.

+1 for MalwareBytes plus because they use different scanning engines and databases I also use SuperAntiSpyware the free version. In the past I have used Hitman Pro, again the free version even it has a nag screen it continues when needed to update and be free....this latter one is Cloud based scanning by the way. NB thinking about it Hitman Pro does charge to remove some of the nastier stuff!!!

Thanks guys, I reset my browser settings, but I also downloaded MalwareBytes soon after reading this. It seems to of done the job so far, its just everytime I tried to come on here I kept getting that error up but it appears to of done the job. Thanks :)

Should have said in regard to Java, I also have been seeing Java errors come up because of the out of date version I had running ~ doh! I went to the Java website and downloaded the most current installer/version and the auto update on my version 6 or was it 7 did not work as it should have done??? Now running v8 build 45.
