And not the tasty kind, either!

My trusty Nikon D40 kit lens failed today. After I took a picture, I was unable to zoom. The mechanism has completely jammed

My questions are, is this a common thing? And is there an easy fix?

Sorry Jason, cant help any Bora owners. For the price of getting a kit lens repaired I'd just buy a new one?!
