I now have a few galleries on my website which I made using Jalbum and in the settings there is the option to connect the gallery to your photobox account but when I entered my photobox account id and made the album the order button still doesn't work.

Any help please?

Cheers

Ross

What does happen when you click order?

Did you try a full rebuild in JAlbum?

I tried to use the Paypal option in my JAlbum.. but it never appears either.

When I click order it says in the bottom left hand corner of the window error on page.

I have tried redoing the galleries loads of times trying different things but with no luck.

I had a look at the way you have done yours and it looks good, is yours set up to use photobox?

No Paypal, I just entered my paypal address, set the prices and it all worked. Dunno if you need to set yourself up as a merchant on Paypal (I already was) tho...

Here's a grab of how I set up the payments for paypal:

Do you do your own printing then?

I might set it up to use paypal then I just order then stuff threw photobox and sent it out to the client.

Yeah I just order the prints and then send them out. I always get them delivered to me so I can check them and re-send them with an invoice, etc. With the paypal system you get an email telling you the gallery path and filename of the image, delivery address, etc. If you're set up as a merchant you can also set up costs for p&p which are automatically added to the order.

It's saved me a bunch of work taking orders over the phone or by post, chasing payments, etc.

Janice, I'm not sure what to suggest. Have you got a link to one you set up that should so the order option so I can check the HTML and see if there's anything obvious?

Same here, works a treat :)

Ross, if you're using a skin which doesn't include paypal give me a shout, I had to write mine in and could give you the templates :)

Only time I've even lifted the camera lately is to get it out of the way of the wife and the hoover

i have setup the paypal version of buying and it 'seems' to work with a regular account - havent actually used it and no-one tried to buy anything so cant 100% confirm.
looking through jalbum forums looks like photobox had some 'issues' with the jalbum software, and they are infact removing the service that jalbum relied upon (printbutton.com)
i think the paypal option would be your best bet

Cheers, just setup paypal on one of the albums and it seams to work ok. http://www.mullrallyesport.co.uk/RAC/album/index.html

Will see if I get any sales and confirm if it full works.

Sorted now! wont be able to add p&p though i doubt

p&p is on the paypal side, you need to change your account to a business one then it's just a couple of changes in the merchant settings. You can define different p&p amounts for different price ranges, eg. 0.01-10.00 @ £1.50, £10-20 @ £2.99 and so on.

Only thing to watch out for with Jalbum and paypal is that it can't be in a frame, paypal has set up their basket page to only work outside of a frameset and it will break if it isn't.

I am already a Paypal Premium member and it says that can have postage calculator etc.. but ive looked everywhere and cant find it.
Oh well, i doubt i will sell any so I am faffing about for nothing! :D

Janice, in paypal go to My Account and click on Profile, on the far right in the list you should see Postage Calculations...
