Daily Jake's 365 Challenge

Day 251

251/365 by JRTurnerPhotography, on Flickr

After seeing all of the hay bales have been rounded up this year, I was frantically searching around for one to shoot, before I missed my opportunity. Luckily I stumbled across this one, and knew I had to head back in the evening. The sky was really stormy and moody yesterday evening, and as I stood in the field, hoping the sun would break through the cloud behind me, I struck lucky. This light lasted 20 seconds, before the sun was gone behind the clouds for the rest of the day. I'm glad I waited around.

I have a new logo/watermark, what are your opinions?

going strong there Jake, epic catch up, but i had to stop at your latest....scary blend of light and darkness. brilliant perspective from where i'm sitting, well captured!!

That's an awesome structure Jake and a great capture .
After sunset, hmmm had never thought to try that one.

Archie was just made for the camera :D

Like the night time grass shot too

Thank you! After sunset can produce some wonderful colours, and is often my favourite time to shoot.

Thanks Sarah :)

Just catching up.
The high quality work continues.
Hope you are rewarding (paying) the cat for all the posing.....

Thanks Jeff! The only reward he is getting is his nuts cut off next week

Welcome to the forum, and thanks for taking a look!
A 365 is a great way to improve, and see yourself improving also!

Just as a follow up to my post yesterday - just wanted to say great work Jake - I've spent the last day going through all 49 pages of your thread and the shots just get better and better :)

Im hoping to start a 365 thread next week (waiting for the start of the month) - won't be anywhere near your level as im only a few months into learning.. but even so it'll be good motivation for me and hopefully I'll get some good feedback from people here to help me improve along the way :)

Glad you've enjoyed it. The 365 is a mighty challenge, and when the weather is bad, or I'm busy, it does get difficult! I prefer being outside!

Good luck with your challenge, when you've started I'll drop by and subscribe to your thread! It's a great way to improve!

Archie is cute - the wire wool looks like fun - would love to try it - but I think I'd probably get arrested out here
