Daily Jake's 365 Challenge

OMG you need to get that cat on a diet....

I shoot mostly with a 5dmkii & 24-105 and its a great combo....saving up for a 17-40 as I do miss the wideness I had on my crop with the 10-22

He's quite large isn't he?

I'm used to 18mm on a crop so 24mm is wider when it comes to the FF! I'm really excited to start using it!

Some lovely shots Jake & put that cat on a diet!
As for the camera, nice combo, it's what I use. Where did you order it from?

Thanks Sarah! He'll never lose weight!
It's from Jessops. They are doing 0% finance at the mo :). I toyed with the idea of a grey import, but decided against it.

Day 129

129/365 by JRTurnerPhotography, on Flickr

My first day as a 5D Mark III owner and I LOVE IT! Even though it has been raining all day so I've been stuck indoors, this camera is just out of this world! A quick shot of Mangoe, in low light, at ISO 1600, the noise is near enough non existent.

Day 130

Had another track day at Castle Combe today, the perfect opportunity to try out the new camera. I love it, still! The car in the photo is a Radical, which I believe was running a motorbike engine, either way it was amazingly fast!

Love the tulips Jake and you're really getting there with your panning shots - although the wtermark in that shot is very distracting towards the back of the car

Looks like you are enjoying your new camera Jake , great images being produced bud

Thanks Vince :)

Nice bg for the flowers, it goes very well.
Nice looking pussy cat
Nice capture of the racing car, a great sense of motion.

Enjoy the camera!

Thanks Michael! I'm loving it so far!

Thanks Sarah, I know the watermark is distracting, but it stops people getting there mitts on my photos!

Very pretty, but I think a bigger DOF would have been better.

Thanks Sarah, I agree with you!

Looks like you are really getting to grips with the MkIII Jake. Great shots. As for the car, probably does use a motorbike engine. My Dad builds racing cars (Jedi Racing Cars) & they use bike engines.

Thanks Sarah, I am getting there slowly! Yeah it was 1000cc bike engine, was so so fast!

I think the flowers is Pink Purslane Jake, a while since I have seen it myself.

Thanks for the ID Michael, after googling I think you're right!

127 and 128 do it for me, love them!

Thanks Toni!

I will catch up with all your threads ASAP. I've been slacking! Apologies!

Day 132

A walk in a very busy Badbury Clump today, to get some photo's of the bluebells while it wasn't raining! Hopefully get there again soon before they die.

View this on black - it's really worth it! Clicky

I'm going to get this printed and framed! :)

Well you are definitely putting that new camera to good use, and I am very jealous.

Love your motorsport and woodland flowers images!

Both bluebell pictures are gorgeous they're such a lovely shade of blue :)

Very nice Jake - I'm sure that Sarah will be able to give you some top tips though ;)

Day 136

Another trip to Badbury Clump this evening - I sure am making the most of the bluebells this year. It was raining today, and the sun didn't come out to give me some nice lighting, but I am still happy with this one. This camera still amazes me!

That cat is truly weird

Super picture - the trees look like they're floating :)
