Your light trail is class Jake, love it. Great to capture the car lights and the stars so well.

Day 95

Took a walk up to Barbury Castle today, for an attempt at a sunset. It was freezing up there, really windy. The sunset wasn't great tonight, but I was happy with this one. I used my 50mm prime for this shot, something I haven't done for landscape before, but it's so much sharper than the kit lens!

Some really nice work since I last called in Jake, I love the star trail :thumbs: glad that you got it and there's a wonderful number of trails in there :clap: some good sunset action too :D I often find that the best colour in the sky is often after the sun has set :lol:
 
I like the light coming through the clouds in 95, you could maybe do with something more interesting in the foreground though.

Thanks Phil, there is nothing up there, the only thing I can do is go to the otherside to get a better lead in line to the rays, but I was frozen, and wasn't moving into the wind :lol:

Yesterday while out shooting, my camera started coming up with Error 99, saying to switch on and off, or remove the battery. I did this and it let me take a couple of shots, before the error message came up again! I'm going to attempt to clean all the contacts and give it a mini service later, and hopefully it starts working again! This is just my luck, as I fly out to NY next week.

I have 2 shots to post, and will do that tonight!
 
I like them! Day 96 included! :D

I got that error when I had a dodgy SD card.. could it be the card? It started giving me that error then it'd work then every so often, it'd throw up the error.

I took everything out, and cleaned all the contacts and it seems to be working now!
 
Do like the crocus Jake, im just waiting on things warming up a bit so a few things actually start to grow in my own garden.
 
Glad you sorted the camera - I actually like day 96 - the Crocus works very well on black :thumbs:

Went out last night to do some long exposure stuff. Took this one above the M4, on the B4192. I wanted to capture light trails on the bridge, as well as from the motorway, and show Swindon in the distance, which I think I have achieved! I want to revisit this location in the blue hour as I think it will make a much nicer shot!

97 is gorgeous and works really well on black!

98.... superb.. love it!
 
98 is really good - have to agree that just after sunset might be a better time though.

Thanks Sarah! :) I spent the better light elsewhere but wasn't too happy with the shots! I will definitely re-visit, although the rain is coming in now :( Still, 6 days until NY!

I'm so excited! :lol:
Weather for tomorrow is overcast and 30 degrees!!
By next week it's looking at being sunny and around 21 degrees! Way above average for New York in April! Going to be wearing shorts by the sounds of things!
