Daily Jake's 365 Challenge

Oh that really is wonderful Jake, love it I wonder if a slight maybe 10 percent increase in contract wouldn't lift it that little more  not sold on that daff if I'm honest

Thanks Matt! I was trying to keep the grain to a minimum, so I couldn't boost the contrast much more!
Which Daff shot? Or both?

I love yesterday's, Jake and it does work well in B&W! Today's is very cute, nicely focused and the BG suits it well.

I'm a bit worried about your fitness levels, though - what have you been up to to make you so tired, young man?:naughty::lol:

Thanks Sam! The black and white saved a flat image well yesterday!

You're more inappropriate than my mother Samantha! Are you a spy?

Why, how inappropriate is your Mother? :naughty::p

Yes, I am sorry to say I am a spy - I am monitoring all social networking sites including but not exclusive to Facebook and MySpace as well as Twitter, Instagram and Flickr. You have nowhere to hide!:lol:

Just catching up after a few days off :)

Loving both the daffodil shots, the black background sets them off so well.

And the waterfall shot I love too, be a nice place to go back to in the spring and summer too to compare it through the seasons.

Today's is quite nice Jake, the waterfall is ok, im just not a fan of black and white landscapes.

Todays is cute!!!......... i rather like the bw landscape... looks a lovely place!

Sam you are funny!! lol

Sweet shot Jake !

I'm definitely going to be returning, I enjoyed my trip up the mountain!

Thanks Phil, I'm not a big fan of B&W landscapes either, but the weather was so dull, the photo looked flat without the conversion!

Sam you are funny!! lol

Thanks Trace! It is a lovely place, but it's cold up the top!
Don't encourage her!

Like the daff shots Jake, really nice. The B&W landscape is also very good & know what you mean about the fitness, I did some hill walks in Wales last August & ended up at the physio! Like the bear shot as well, but might have taken the temperature down a bit to make it less warm.

Thanks Sarah! :) My legs are still aching! It's the first proper physical fitness I've done in at least 6 months!
I'll revisit the bear shot, I have a feeling its down to 2200K already!

Very nice Jake, 2 daffodil shots are really nice. Quite a nice B&W there too. Been meaning to try get myself some of those waterfall shots. Not too many of them to be had around London though!

Thanks Conor! :) There isn't many waterfalls in my area either, so they're nice to suddenly come accross!

I somehow missed the bear shot. I'm a bit all over the place today! Love the tones in it. It's almost peach, really nice.

Well, it's been a busy few days for you Jake and you are not as young as you used to be, so I understand your fatigue ;):D

Not a bad filler at all

I don't think I am as young anymore! I just woke up sideways across the bed :cuckoo: Didn't even realise I was tired. How confusing.

The mountains do that to you Jake. Im training at the minute for a 19 mile walk climbing 7 mountains over 700m in height that happens this August. We are doing it for Cancer Research. When I get home after a 10 or 12 mile training walk including maybe 3 mountains I regularly fall asleep on the sofa and legs are stiff for a few days after.

I'm definitely going to be doing some more of this mountain climbing malarkey. We did around 7 miles on Saturday. Great fun! Legs are aching and I'm constantly tired
I didn't even own walking boots until Thursday!

Day 43

43/365 by JRTurnerPhotography, on Flickr

Had more motivation today! :D
I know this has been done before, but I decided to do my own take of it, and I must admit I'm chuffed to bits with it! This is Staplescraper City lit by a lovely full moon on a beautifully clear starry night. Put a lot of time and effort into this photo so I hope it shows.
Best viewed BIG on black!
Will catchup on everyone else's tonight!

Very nice, Jake...babyscraper at the front is very sweet! Looks great against that background. :)

Very nice Jake, how did you do the stary sky?

It's a background layer on photoshop turned black, grain added with a filter, and applied to the background. Fiddle with the levels to get the desired amount of stars. Click here for tutorial. Thanks for commenting Sarah and I'm glad you like it!

Thanks Sam! Took some work but I'm well happy with it!

Nicely done today Jake, I need a major crash course in Photoshop! No idea what you did there!

Thank you kindly Phil! I didn't know how to do it before today either! I just get an idea in my head and google it, normally something comes up! :) The guide is a little bit above in a comment to Sarah!
