Daily Jake's 365 Challenge

Very nice. How can we guess you are counting the days!

It's only 68 now...:D
Thanks Sarah!

Looks like you really like to plan, I cannot wait to see the shot's that you come back with

It's always good to have a battle plan
I can work in my head some shots I'd like to come back with that way!
I wish hiring lenses didnt cost so much, as I'd really like a wide angle for the trip :(

Nice shot Jake - cant wait to see the shots from NY when you get back and what a scrapbook that will make :D

A lot of people don't like selective colour but i do quite like this Jake. Have a great day on Saturday in the mountains, i'm heading back to the Mournes local to me next Wednesday to celebrate my 40th!:(

I'm quite partial to it when used in the right situation! Thanks Phil
Happy birthday for next week incase I forget! Life begins again!

Sorry, bit marmite for me - not that big a fan of SC :(

I quite like this - not always a fan of SC, especially when red roses are involved, but it makes sense in this shot! Nice one! :)

Used right i love sc and this is one of those times... really like that jake:thumbs:

same here - like SC when it fits properly and this does

Thank you Sam :) Sometimes I hate it, but it made a boring shot more interesting I think.

Mmmm, smarties & enjoy your climb at the weekend.

Thanks Sarah! Fingers crossed I won't fall down! Hoping for some nice shots.

and so you should be :D That is beautiful

That Daff works for me, Jake - great one! :)

I'm not a huge fan of selective colour but I think it works with that subject - except I would prefer them on a table or something - not keen on turning skin grey in SC shots.

Love the simplicity of the daffodil in day 38.

Exactly what I was thinking

Like both daffodils Jake, they look good against the black background.

very pretty and i agree you have to make the most of them!

The daff's are still going strong! Have fun at the Brecon Beacons! :)

Day 40

40/365 by JRTurnerPhotography, on Flickr

Took a trip to Pen y Fan in the Brecon Beacons yesterday. Couldn't get any shots up there due to low cloud, so had to take photos down below. Converted to B&W in SilverEfex due to flat light, low cloud and rain! Hopefully next time the weather will be nicer.
I can honestly say I've never been so tired in my life, my fitness is not what it used to be
