Daily Jake's 365 Challenge

Looks like a snail convention! Good one :) Looks like you have focus stacking sorted. I tried it once, but got a few blurry areas :(

It does a bit  Were you using a tripod and remote shutter? :) Thanks

I'm down in London for an appointment in the first week of June I think but that will be mid week unless you fancy a mid weeker ;)

Todays works well I like it :D

Aslong as I don't end up on holiday that week, then it sounds good too me, a mid weeker is fine with me, London isnt that far for me! Thanks :)

Love todays - and I must put shot stacking on my "to do" list :)

Thank you! It's something handy to do when you're stuck for inspiration!

 Great image and detail in that shot

Thank you very much :)

great shot Jake :)

You are producing some really lovely images!...:clap: loving the stacking and again something i want to try :D

Cool, did you get a blue lighter coming towards you? I must try this again sometime. I'm a bit stuffed for interesting below bridge stuff though.

Sadly not, It was the blue LED lights on the front of a lorry cab. I haven't done it in ages. I wanna get out earlier in the evening.

Looks great to me! Don't forget, it's 'ART'...never say it's some LEDs on a truck, say it was the tardis flashing past!!:lol:

great light trail shot Jake  need to try and get one of these done

It's a good effort as we discussed earlier, I have to say as a location it looks rather good too

It's the only bridge between the Swindon junctions where you can pretty much avoid light pollution and signs! And the road crossing the bridge is a small country lane with barely any traffic on it!

That's a nice view to get the light trails from. Love the blue trails on the right.

Day 16

Not my best work today, just a quick snap, but with a sad story to tell. These sunflowers are from the card making section of Hobbycraft. I bought them for my mum after her close friend sadly passed away from cancer, sunflowers were her favourite and were a big theme to the funeral. Today would have been her 49th birthday, so I thought this would be fitting.
Sadly today my mum took news from another of her closest friends, that she had just been told she only has 2-4 months to live, after they found cancer in her bowl and bones just last week. I hoped this would bring a smile to her face, and thankfully it has. I'm hoping to get out and photograph a sunflower field once they're in season, and get it printed out for her.

That is very sad story and a evil side of humanity.

Very fitting tribute Jake !!

I am so sorry to hear of your Mum's sadness, Jake. Today's photo really is poignant. The muted tones kind of exemplify the story behind the photograph.

We have a Macmillans charity box at work and I'll put another fiver in in memory of your Mother's friends tomorrow (or, sorry, but Friday as that's payday).

I'm glad the photo is working! Thanks.
Thank you very much for doing that, it really is very kind of you. In summer a few of us from work are taking part in tandem skydives, raising money for prospect hospice, which is where her friend was treated and cared for, for her remaining months.

Very sad story cancer is an evil basket.

Nice tones, but I find it a little soft.

Day 17

Some more creativity this evening. Camera mounted on a tripod in the back of the car, and driving along at approx 5mph, long exposure, giving the impression we're going fast. Need more practise but it's not too bad for the first go :)

That's not bad for a first go. You should photoshop that speedometer to a decent speed though :D

Thank you! Haha that's a good idea. Didn't think of that. I think 120 should do it nicely :P.
