Your cat has very unusual eyes Jake!

Aye, she is a freak!

Thanks bud :)! I'm running out of inspiration now :|

That cat has freaky eyes.

I've been looking at google maps for my area & also flickr for inspiration locally.

I do the same, and I have some lovely places not too far away. Avebury stone circle, silbury hill, the ridgeway just to name a few, but I want better weather

I don't think I photographed her well, as even Poppy said she looks scary!

She's gorgeous!

I've also been trying to look for inspiration within walking distance and used to get a lot from flickr map.. it's empty now! I'm stuck as of today, hence my own filler shot!

Thanks Toni!

It's really hard to get inspired. Swindon is so horrible aswell, there's nothing nice to take photos of!

Day 57

Got outside tonight! Not ideal conditions at all, and my light wasn't as bright as I thought when I got out there, so had to pull it back a bit in photoshop. Lost some quality in the sky, but it's not too bad! I'll be back out there when it's better conditions and with a brighter light and a longer exposure!

Haard to see what else is in the shot except a large rock Jake. I can just make out a couple of shapes in the background. As you said a longer exposure might help.

Hmmm, can just make out a few trees looking at it large on flickr - but yep very under exposed - I know it's freezing Jake, but you must suffer for your art - stay out for longer next time ;)

Longer exposure slightly earlier would be good, but you got outside!

Definitely will be staying out longer next time! The fog was setting in last night and it was starting to rain, so I gave up, but will be there again shortly I hope :)

At least you got outside!!!... It's getting harder and harder and so depressing trying to get motivation isn't it!

I hate trying to get motivation! It does my head in! Hopefully I'll go out again tonight! Just driven to Newbury Racecourse again as I was supposed to go up the clock tower today for photos. Get there and plans have changed without letting me know. Cheers then!

Day 58

Day 58. Today as I left work I noticed the sun was starting to go down, and decided I would race out into the countryside and see if I could get a sunset. Decided on Avebury and after parking up, hopping a fence and running up a hill, I made it and fired off a few shots as the sun set. I was only there 5 minutes but boy was it worth it! Really happy with this shot! I don't know if it has a slight halo or if my eyes are playing tricks on me where I've looked at it so many times, and they can't take the contrast between light and dark.

Are these massive rocks just lying around all over the place where you live, Jake?

Very nice photo and that round sun looks amazing - love the way the clouds are reflecting its colours!

(Went to Hotel Chocolat or whatever it's called on the way back to my car....got given a free chocolate and then sidled out again!!:D)

They pretty much are! Got Avebury a mere 20 minute drive away (in rush hour) and Stonehenge isn't too far either!

Thank you very much :)

It's lovely isn't it?

Day 58 is awesome Jake , well done !!

Thanks Vince! :)

Yes Jake, that is so much better. Nicely caught and worth the effort.

Day 59

Well February is finished. 2 months down, 10 to go! It's been difficult at times, but I'm hoping now the days are getting longer and the weather is getting nicer I can get back into my favourite style of photography - landscapes. Today I drew on an egg! Then I chopped his head off. Then I took a photo of him. Some might call it egg abuse, I call it art! New style of processing from me, went for the undersaturated, high clarity and vignette approach, and I like it :)

Day 60

Speak No Evil, Hear No Evil, See No Evil.
Just a filler tonight as I'm heading out! Going to have my first drink since July - here's hoping the migraine triggering has gone as quickly as it came on!
