I don't want any insensitive slagging off, and don't want this to fall below a 'mature discussion'.

Personally, I think it's sick.
I don't blame Jade Goody, the fact she got publicity just shows how much of a hold over people she has and to gather money for your family is never a bad thing.

I just hate how hundreds of people die a day from cancer and no one seems to care.
Similar to the whole 'Madeline McCann' thing - she was kidnapped and never seen again. What makes her so special in comparison to the hundreds of other kids who are kidnapped and never seen again?

Except that Jade Goody definitely died of cancer - there's no absolute proof that Madeline McCann was abducted.......

Back onto the Jade topic, I can't see any reason for a movie about her, all her short period of "fame" proved is how shallow and celebrity-obsessed our country has become.

Well, yes, that's one thing, but still - for the sake of argument, let's just assume she was abducted - what made her case so special?

I guess as her parents are quite "high profile" both doctors I believe?
They probably had the money and the contacts to keep it in the press a "bit longer"
The other school of thought ( and I know they do this)
Is the police ask the media to continue to run the story in the hope of catching the culprit.
If they suspect someone close.
They have their experts that analise the "news footage" and the "live interviews"
I of course am not pointing the blame at anyone here, its just a method I know
the police use "from time to time"

As for Jade, she has had her "5 minutes of fame ( infamy?)
made a few quid
I suggest that they now allow her to RIP
I certainly wouldn't watch the film should it be released
 
I had a certain amount of sympathy before she died and couldn't blame her for trying to make as much as she could for her kids. But enough is enough... and this sounds a bit TOO much!

She is/was a pretty young girl from a middle class family, compare the media reaction to the "abduction" of the less photogenic and "working class" Shannon Matthews....
 
Beggars belief really, but i didn't realise she could sing, as she could barely speak coherently :shrug:

she actually had a really good voice. I remember seeing her on one of those "mimic a star" type shows and she was excellent :)
 
Couldn't give a monkeys myself. If someone wanna makes it I really couldn't care less either way. Sure plenty of people will go watch it though.

This was discussed on another forum I visit, the following suggestions was made....

A subtle re-working of Bohemian Rhapsody might just work as the main tune...

I just don't get it, WHY? She made her name in a 'reality' TV show that is as far removed form reality as its possible to be and other than dying from cancer at a very young age [so do thousands of others] she was fairly insignificant in the overall scheme of things. :shrug:

As for a JG film/musical/whatever, surely it's just another money making exercise? Personally I have more important things to do with my money, and better things to do with my time than watch it.

Don't see the point of it tbh :shrug:

Shannon Matthews story was completely different. The police were aware of the reason behind her abduction before she was actually found. The police just didn't know where to find her til they were tipped off on that too.

As for Jade Goody, She ain't worth a comment.:gag:
 
I thought the trash mags and Max Clifford might stop their money extraction activites once she was dead, but sadly not.

I think she was a selfish, nasty, ignorant person, and it's a sad reflection of our times that someone like that is held up on a pedestal as some kind of role model. But whatever anyone thought of her alive, she's dead now, I wish she could just be left to RIP.
 
I won't comment on her too much, after all it is wrong to speak ill of the dead, but how on earth can anyone jusity making any production about a total non-celebrity, who offered nothing to the entertainment industry other than foul, ignorant and offensive opinions spouted in barely comprehensible 'English'.

Steady! Old Parky was slammed for saying almost the same thing.

I would only watch "The Sound of Goody" if it was a comedy with a Pythonesque death bed scene followed by Max Clifford dancing all the way to the bank.
Steve Martin to play Clifford and Miss Piggy playing the lead. Classy.
