Jacbos Photography Used stock

does anybody know if Jacobs have stopped selling used stock ?

The section has disappeared off their website and i cant find any evidence it even existed. Obviously they arent open now and the google cache version of the web page shows the Used department isn't open on sundays to ring them either.

On their website, they have a 'pre-owned equipment' section you can click onto and there is a list available in pdf form, but I'm not sure if they actually keep any used stock in their high street shops.

Shop in Liverpool had a 5d a while back for a grand i think it was, went pretty quick thou

Manchester seem to have gone down to just a couple of bits and bobs.

Last time I went in after their refurb looking for a cheap second body they offered me a 1d2 for £575. It looked like it had been in a cement mixer and they had no idea of the shutter count. Needless to say I gracefully refused.

Their used stock is mainly kept in the Oxford Street branch in London, next to the Pro's lounge. TBH they are absolutely carp at keeping their stock list up-to-date (the last one that I saw was 3 months old), but give them a ring at the branch if you are after something specific.

They aren't the cheapest 2nd hand dealers to buy from, but they are generally honest about the kit that they have. Most of it (in London anyway) is ex pro use, and has taken a bit of a cosmetic battering, but is still perfectly workable.
