Earlier this evening I went out to the shed to get something, when I got in there and put the light on I had no idea what I'd gone for. I spent a few minutes looking round like an idiot trying to remember, but no, nothing. I have spent the last few hours trying to think what it was but again, nothing.

Now the real worrying bit is,

1- Did I really want something in the first place, or did I go in there for no reason?
2-If it was important enough at the time to go out (in the rain) for somthing, what has not been done that must have been important at the time?
3- Is this just the start, and if so, the start of what? :help:

lol! i'm so happy it's not just me then can you let me know where I left my car keys?

Happens to me... erm what was i saying?

Now, was I going up the stairs or coming down the stairs - so glad I live in a bungalow now

I'm not even old either

Erm is the answer blue?

43...b****r!!! :bang: I should know that.....Is the answer blue?:suspect:

What you doing in my thread

I never suffer with memory problems, and I'm 94 tomorrow. What's more, I'll be 73 next birthday.

I've had the odd memory lapse, but I've remembered what I was doing or whatever within around 30 seconds. It's not an age thing, I've done it for years, more a lack of concentration and start thinking about something totally unrelated.

When you find yourself in a bedroom with someone, your trousers are around your knees, and you can't remember if you're pulling them up or down - that's when to worry. ;)

The real test is... Did you remember to switch the light off? :)

Get your name sewn into your clothes (then you'll know who you are)
I'm thinking of getting a portable Sat-Nav then I'll know where I am.
Then, a note book so you know why you are there !

Sorted.

Now, where did I put my notebook ?

Sometimes I go up/downstairs for something, and end up getting or doing something totally different as I've forgotten or got distracted. I often don't realise this til I go back down/upstairs again - then remember and go back - occasionally get distracted again...

Am i home now :|

Happens to me from time to time too...... worryingly I'm only 35

OH its 43 :bang:

It's the start ... but there is no end!

Nothing to worry about. I remember an old guy saying to me:

If you are half way up the stairs and forget what you are going up for, don't worry because everyone does this.
If you are half way down the stairs and forget what you are going down for, don't worry because everyone does this.
If you find yourself halfway on the stairs and can't remember if you were going up or down, that's the time to worry! :D
