:D

It's a Wista 45SP Also have a 90mm f8 and 180mm f5.6 to go with it. It's got no AF, no Auto white balance, no GPS or video. Infact, it has very little in the way of modern comforts. It does however have full lens movements and takes 4"x5" sheet film that can be scanned to produce HUGE image files. This is going to be a new learning curve. :)

WOWSA... ... that looks like some serious kit there MK...

Congratulations on the move to LF... ;)

:p

Hi,

if you ever sell it I'd be interested in the grip

Mike.

You don't see many tourists carrying those about nowadays.

The Super Angulon is a lovely lens. Enjoy it :)

Thanks. :) Need to decide on what to put in it now though. Also need to pick up some sort of light meter (Or just use my D300's light meter for now.) Also if i was to get the negatives developed professionally, do you just drop off the darkslides with the exposed film? Also is it worth getting polaroid film to initially learn with?

That looks a bit to advanced for me!! :D

I suppose you could do that if you have a local lab you could go to personally. The usual method though is to unload the film holders back into a film box.

It's not really that advanced. It's just that you have to do everything manually!

Right, ok that makes sense. Can you use polaroid in a normal darkslide, or do you need a polaroid holder?

That is one serious camera, love it!

What's not to like? Congratulations!!

Would there be a place in the interweb where one could learn how to use such a contraption....?

Perfect one for you here

Nice one, I would get a Pola back, just to get the feel of the beast.

Dave.

Tbh the Polaroid backs that you can still get film for are really expensive. You need either a Polaroid 550, 405 or a fuji back. They all take pack film.

LF is great fun and really rewarding, I reckon you'll enjoy it, if you can stick through the learning phase
