I've owned and used a lot of monopods over the years... and I've finally found one that makes me want to use it. IMO, it's the best one available on the market for wildlife photography.
Here's my review of the Sirui SVM-165CM Rapid System Monopod; this is the first time I've found a monopod I felt justified a review...

I now make a 1" long (exposed) fixed stainless steel spike foot with rubber protective cap for the SVM Rapid monopods... it fixes one of the few issues I have with them.

Looks nice, but a little pricey perhaps.
Yeah, especially compared to the one I was using previously... The Benro was similarly expensive (I'll be selling that one).

Although, there is a lot more value in something I'll use regularly, versus something I almost never use.
