I'm probably missing something really stupid, but every time I reboot my iTunes library resets it location to the default, rather then the location I tell it in my preferences. Any ideas how to stop it doing this?

is it a removable drive or network drive that is not connected?

if the drive/path is not available it will reset in my experience. if you close itunes down and reconnect the drive, reopen itunes and its back to what you want.

my library is on a network drive, but thats available when I start up - or switched on and working anyway. Its always possible something is happening in a funny order during boot up.

in my computer/computer is the drive mapped okay at startup or does it have a red X? i find my PC boots into windows faster than my network storage can wake up sometimes.

it looks like its mapped fine, its always available straight away. But I have to admit I don't know what the finder equivalent of a red X would look like

I'm afraid so.

Sadly not, I'm a bit lost. But its not hard (just annoying to reset every time
