Can you run/synch different iPods with iTunes or will I have to listen to my wifes taste in music? :gag:

If so, is it easy to set up?

Assuming you are using Windows can you not just create another user account on your PC? Put i-tunes in there and the account should be unique

That's the way to do it, iTunes creates seperate libraries for each Windows user account.

Or just create playlists and only copy those that you want - e.g. "HackersTunes" with all songs ou want, and "Hackersbetterhalftunes" with all hers.

Hacker, hope you don't mind me posting on this thread, but the question is connected to Ipods...

Once I raise the money, I'll be getting an Ipod Touch 16GB 2nd Gen, so am just trying to think in advance here...the ITunes vouchers £15,20 etc. etc. How do they work?

IIRC the Touch has a built in Wi-fi, so can I download tunes wirelessly to the Ipod? Presumably I register the card and each time I download, the credit comes off the voucher?

Thanks in advance :)

Thanks guys but that seems like a lot of trouble and I will probably [PLEASE DON'T TRY TO BYPASS THE SWEAR FILTER] it up. :D

or delete her account but live with the consequences :cuckoo:

Good God man, are you married?

Cheers Gary! :)

Well I sacrificed my Sigma 10-20mm so that I could buy an Elite Wireless turbo trainer, mat and top tube sweat mat. I train pretty much daily (1 hour sessions) on it and I'm already starting to feel the benefits :woot:

In the for sale section, I'm now selling the Epson P-2000 so I can get the Touch, reason being I can get a neoprene armband and wear the Ipod on one of my arms whilst on the trainer. Will definately help keep me motivated for the Pyrenees next year :)

Got IMHO a very good deal on Ebay from a titanium power seller, won an auction and with a 15% Ebay voucher I have, works out to about £165 posted :) Voucher expires 4 December though so absolutely must sell the Epson before Thursday, otherwise it'll work out to be approx £195.

You enter a code from the back of the card, and it credits your iTunes account with whatever the value of th giftcard is. Then, as you say, whenever you buy a song or album it just knocks the value off your balance.

I have an iPhone and an ipod, my daughter also has an ipod. All served through one itunes library. The simplest way is, as has been said - to create individual playlists for each device. Then in sync options make sure each device only sync's playlists you want on it!
