Are there any iTunes experts in the house?

I have a midi file that I would like to add to my iTunes library so that I can convert it to an MP3 file. The file refuses to be imported, regardless of whether I select "Add File To Library" from the menu, or the drag and drop method.

The midi file will play in VLC or Windows Media Player

I have the same problem on 2 PCs

I have tried a different midi file - same result

Any suggestions would be appreciated, either with iTunes or another method of converting from midi to mp3 format.

Thanks,

Chris

I had some issues with this in the past and gave up - people came up with an answer but just found it easier to convert midi to mp3 first.

Thanks Phil,

How did you convert from Midi to MP3

Importing Midi files into MPS seems to be a common problem. I was looking for a quick and cheap solution, it's just a one-off file for my Dad.

I think I downloaded a converter from the web.

I had a quick look to see what the software was but then realised it was on my previous PC so no longer have it.

Thanks for looking Phil. I'll do a bit of searching to find a standalone convertor.

It worked!

It's good of you to take the time to help me out - thanks Phil - much appreciated.
