iTunes, HELP!

I'm having trouble creating an iTunes account, i get to the card details bit, ive checked everything is correct but when i try to continue i just get the message:

'Your payment method was declined. Please enter valid payment information' :thinking:

Any help as to why this is happening, and also how to sort it would be much appreciated!

If you create an account by going on the app store part of the iTunes store and click to buy one of the free apps and when it asks you to login just click the thing along the lines of create an account and you don't need to put in card details and just buy iTunes gift cards if you want to buy something.

I had this problem with my MasterCard after years of using it fine. I switched to using visa debit and the problem seem to sort itself. No idea why it wouldn't accept the original info though!
 
Call your bank it's likely as it's a CNP transaction (they will have requested a small test authorisation) to check validity of card details that your bank has placed a security restriction on your account as a anti fraud measure
