I am wanting to transfer some of my music from iTunes to a USB stick for use in the car.
Google takes me to an Apple iTunes help thread that tells me to drag & drop from iTunes to a new folder or to USB, (not sure if this is still current).
However my iTunes always comes up full screen and nothing I can do minimizes it to allow a drag & drop - pressing the minimize button sort of moves it slightly but that's all.
Every other screen minimizes fine but not iTunes ... any suggestions please?

TIA

Can you push the edges of the window so it is smaller? I've had that when the minimised and full size window have been altered to be the same.

Or select what you want, right click, copy then open another window, find your USB, right click, paste.

Sorry if this is a silly question, but how are you trying to minimise? By clicking on the minimise symbol, or by double clicking on the top bar?

You could also try pressing ctrl +J which i think allows you to change the tile sizes...

Can't move the edges :)

I'll give that a try, thanks :)

The minimise symbol ... I'll try ctrl-j :)

now put your cursor over the border of itunes it should change to a double ended arrow. drag it to shrink/expand as necessary.

That's what I expect but it doesn't :)

ctrl-j just brings up another menu from within iTunes.

right-click/copy seems to be the only thing that works ATM.

what if you click and hold the top bar and drag, the whole lot should move

Ah that's got it, now it will minimise as I expect ... cheers :)
I think it was minimising incorrectly, now I've re-sized it it works fine :)

New problem now!

Trying to save some of my music from iTunes to a USB stick to play via the car radio ... but they are m4p DRM protected files and although I can drag-and-drop it still leaves them unplayable on anything but iTunes or my Apple devices.
I've trialled a small number of m4p to mp3 converters (Google) but each seems to have a problem which prevents it doing the conversion successfully.
Anyone know a foolproof way to quickly and easily convert these so that I can play my music via my car radio?

TIA

Wow they must be some old purchases, iTunes Plus started in 2007 :)

Have you got an iTunes match subscription? If so then it is easy to 'remove DRM', ensure you've got iTunes match and your library synchronised. Then delete the songs from your local library. Then click on the purchased tab, music, and redownload by clicking on the cloud icon to your local library. And voila you've got the iTunes plus version now without DRM. You can now copy and move them to your hearts content....

Thanks both, I'll check this out :)

DRM was removed from AAC versions of iTunes files a number of years ago. I use those with a cheap kenwood stereo and a usb stick. They all play fine including purchased music. I drag and drop straight from iTunes onto the usb stick.
