iTunes film rentals.?

Just wondering when did iTunes change the rental side of things when new films are released.

For instance, American sniper was realised yesterday and it is only for sale, no rent facility at the moment, does anybody have an idea when they become available to rent.?

Haven't used iTunes for renting for a while but it's been the case that certain premium films will only be available for sale at first. IIRC, it was only a matter of a few weeks before they became available for rent.

find something else for now or go and see it in cinemas if you can't wait.

a lot of this will be dictated by the studios
