It's snowing

........and it came on the minute I'd arranged to go out this afternoon ;)
Always the way Eh? :D
We had a little late last night, but it didn't last long at all TBH.

Its actually bright and sunny here in MK
a bit of a chilly breeze though,
Still I guess its winter :D

Just came back from MK and bingo. It is just starting to snow here in Whipsnade.

I guess it'll get trapped by the Chilterns, and drop its load there,
as it normally does and we won't get any.
Selfish lot! :p

I'm trying to save it all for the Nutters weekend. We've got to have snow, makes it more fun :) Snow and gluhwein by the reindeer.

It's still very windy and freezing here I sussex, rained most of yesterday but dry and bright today.

Fair point well presented

I too, had missed out on the snow here at Folkestone last night - but that was well forecast by me as I expected only rain as I knew air temperatures and dewpoints would be too mild for it. The other thing I've got spot on was gale force wind and we certainly had that last night, in fact it came in two parts - the all too common southerly gales in the evening and then after a lull as the low pressure system passed closed by, the gale force north westerly in the early hours.
The wind was strong enough to fell a small number of trees and even wrecked a rollercoaster that is still under construction at Margate's Dreamland. With all that to mind, I did this doodle . . .

High pressure is going to build over the UK from here on and stick around for a good few days with settled and dry conditions over the bulk of the country, but fog, frost and some ice are going to be a regular occurrence. At least those planning on being at London to see the New Year in on Thursday are NOT going to get soaked wet and wind-blasted.

Thank you both:) She was so excited this morning when I took her out. She has spent all afternoon laying outside, only coming in when it began to rain. She's a bit of a diva

We have snow here but only a light dusting but then we have snow on the ground for a couple of weeks. Mind you living here it is to be expected.

No snow, but wasn't too keen on changing a wheel on the car at -2c at 6.45am this morning. :rage:

got stuck on a patch of ice in a passing bay going uphill earlier
