Hi all,

Thought I'd share this - as someone on here has gone well above and beyond the call of duty.....I'd put a post up in the wanted ad's after a Canon 2x Extender.

George responded on the wanted ad and said he had one and sent some photos today of the one he may be getting rid of....I'd texted him back saying thanks and I'd get back to him - bit of a crappy day in the office so barely time to think let alone look!

Anyway - I get home and promptly then forget about the extender .... fast forwards to this evening the phone goes, it's George. We get talking about cameras and all that (as you do!), during George offers to send down the extender to me for me to have a play.

Needless to say I'm stunned by the offer and I've taken him up on it too.

But I just wanted to go on record and say - firstly thanks to George for making such a kind offer to send the extender down for me to try! And also to TP - it's people like this that may this community such a damn fine place on the interweb!

Long may it continue!

It is a fantastic forum with a lot a really decent people on it I met with at least a couple of hundred of the members over the last couple of years and have made some great friends from the forum

To be honest im a member on several forums from fishing to photography and they are all full of mostly internet warriors shouting the odds from behind a pc not really having a clue what there on about, except here and another photography forum i visit.

So Mods and members, Thanks for a pleasant place to visit.

Yep Mark I'm a member on many sites too but this place both in real life and on here (for the most part!) are good like minded people's.

Matt, the mods have an unenviable job keeping us all in line for noting other than "pleasure" and do a bloody good job if you ask me

As for George's generosity of spirit to send the extender down for my to try, just goes to show what kind of awesome place this is

Indeed they do, it's all to often a thankless task on there part, we get to come here and enjoy there hard work in keeping the forum a nice place to be...and they'll always have my thanks and support

I love it here too.

As Mark has said, I'm a member on ALOT of forums on the internet, some of them I lurk more than I post but here on TP it's very easy for me to feel at home. I like it here and I like how there is none of that 'I'm better so shut up' that you find on some forums..

I've also had many a nice experience purchasing from fellow TP'ers in the classifieds, probably one of the best places to get anything
