Its gona SNOW!

Not going to go in to work despite only living around three miles away. No great incentive to stay at home as the heating has just broken (again!) so am off out to Starbucks with my camera to see what is worth snapping.

b****r! b****r! b****r!

Less that 1cm of snow in the bit of Bristol where I live. :shake: :shake: :shake:

So I'm now in work.... Theres about 8-10cm here in Cirencester.
(roads were practically clear)

Might be able to get out with the cam at lunchtime.

Ho hum

SNOW

It has just started, its only a few flakes, and at the moment not much or very big. So we will have to see what happens.

...And now my boss is leaning on me to go in. Strangely enough I can't see him picking up the tab if I end up going sideways trying to get the car out of the lane and damage someone elses vehicle and my own, can you! Neighbours who've lived here for years aren't risking taking cars out of it - that's good enough for me at the moment I'm afraid. I've said - if it starts thawing then fine I'll chance it.

Ask the boss if he is willing to come and get you then you will go in, that case his car his insurance :)

LOL - not a chance of that Sue! Problem is he lives on a modern council estate so no doubt all their roads will have been gritted. Oh - he's also only about 4 miles from the office which helps a bit!

Curse all of you with snow and days off!

Now Matt that's not nice!

hmmm, I thought it was quite funny.

And I'm sure Matt and Sue get loads more snow than us southerners so ...

Suffer yous lot, wooohaaaaha.... two or three inches here and still snowing. That’s proper inches not them exaggerated ones. ;)

Not sure I want to venture out in it now... It's nice n warm indoors ;) The snow is still falling and I don't have any waterproof footwear, only trainers, so I'll get wet feet! The main roads look clear, but I live at the bottom of a sloping road which hasn't been gritted, so I don't really want to take the car out unless it's essential.

My book on Infra red photography is sat at the post office waiting for me to collect it though...

Hmmmm not really had any snow this winter, would like some to try and get some photos of.

Send it over here Sue, only a few miles up the road. :)

Hmmm it is now snowing a bit more, and settling on my car, hmmmm when do i go get matt, now or wait a while????

Leave him there!! ;) :D

Well you can’t have that Mini, not on a day off... haven't you got any tennis rackets?

;)

Yayyyy! Snow! :)

  Erm... no. The nearest thing I have is 2 softball bats

Once the snow decides to stop, I may venture out. You've seen my hair when it gets wet

Right, I'm gonna chance it - the snow has now stopped, so I'll go local (on foot) and get the shots I want, then call at the PO for my book on the way back.

Anyone up for a snowball fight?

What snow we have only had a couple of flakes, must have missed it all.

2" at home this morning(snigger) though the wofe now reports its increased to a good 5"(fnarr)

no snow at work at all. Infact its bloody raining

... did you ever find those photos I left on your card Mini? ...perchance. ;)

 No, I just formatted it and have used it loads since then... what was on it??? I'm intrigued now....

The snow is melting - the sun came out but now it's raining. I wish the weather would make it's mind up!

Well it is still snowing on and off here, the main roads arent too bad but get off those and it changes.

Anyone know what the situation is in West Kirby on the Wirral?

I have to be there for 9pm tonight, a 82ml journey that would normally take me a couple of hours. Not looking forward to it at all. :(

I have to leave here at 3am bound for Sheffield tomorrow.
Is it due to be snowy up there??

Thanks Pete

I'd like to think I'm a sensible driver but there are always idiots who think they don't have to adjust their driving to the conditions. The traffic reports on the radio have been full of the accidents these idiots have caused. Think I'll give myself more time to be on the safe side.

I hate driving in Liverpool so will give it a wide berth, I'll be travelling M65,M6,M56,A540. Any on the spot reports on those roads?

Not that I know off, but I haven't listened to the radio. The snow is almost gone here really. You should be fine on any major road on the Wirral or Liverpool, and motorways should be ok too.

Just got in from college - the wet roads are starting to freeze  Not looking forward to the drive to work tomorrow :(
