Its gona SNOW!

Yup, clear skies here. Snow won't arrive at Cambridge until 9am according to BBC weather.

Supposed to snow here tomorrow afternoon, about the time I have to go get matt from work, so will be a long trip home, we cant cope with snow round here.

Supposed to be visiting family again at the weekend, guess we will have to wait and see what is happening about the snow.

 Just go "off road"! That's what the 4x4 is for.

Don't be silly kamion..:cuckoo:

4x4s are what the upper class take their kids to school in..

99% of this type of vehicle never see's any mud..

yes, ours has now slipped back from the original prediction of 7am to 10am according to the BBC weather site. No day off for me as I'll have no problems getting the car out - it starts snowing seriously during the afternoon though and I'm going home smartish as last time we had any amount of snow - a few years back now - my 20 mile journey home took me from 5.15pm - 11.30pm! Not going through THAT again!

bah, BBC weather says Sleet here....

You guys are all soft! I'm from Syracuse NY where a 6ft snow storm is relatively normal. Of course we have the snow plows to deal with it. Well tomorrow is my first day back at work so it would be great if it was a short day.

Got to agree.

All day at work we've had Severe Weather warning - staff must take care rubbish coming out of our head office in the South of England. Pah !- no one gives a dam when the Lake district has 6 foot of snow on the roads.

The other funny one was - Gritters have been out since lunch time preparing roads for the snow. - YEP - just another normal day.

This is the UK. The roads will turn into car parks with 3 inches of snow. :shake:

I remember Jan 2003. Stansted was shut down. The train from Stansted was shut down. I was stuck there after the flights got cancelled. Had to wait until 1:30am before the train could depart and reached Cambridge at 3am. The A14 and M11 were car parks. My ex-colleague was stuck on the M11 for 8 hours.

There was a Finnish guy at the airport who remarked that if the airports had to close in Finland for the same kind of weather, they'd be close for 6 monts in a year.

No snow here yet. Just got in from work and all I can say is it's bl**dy cold out there. Not back 'till 6pm so IF it snows I'll be out with my camera. I love to see my horses in the snow. One, in particular, rolls and plays in it like a 2yr old. :)

Looking forward to seeing all the snowy pic's later.

No snow here yet :(

Just Bl***y cold outside (go's to hide in the dc)

Millions of snow here!!!!!

Woohoo!!! Ive nearly got my 6" and its only 6:30am! :D

Typical, just as i go to leave work it starts snowing.... should be good by the time i wake up then :D

There's a bit here as well.... 1" ;)

It's looking like no snow for us here *puts serving tray away*

No snow but forecast changed from 'sleet' to 'fluries', not 'till lunch time though. I'm going back to bed!

I left in the snow at 6am and the roads were treacherous, decided to turn back after a while as I didn't fancy getting stuck on the M25. Still plenty of muppets driving way too fast.

  Me too!

We already had about an inch at 4am and it's still snowing. Was wanting to go out with the camera but don't think I'll be going as far afield as I had planned now :( Still, plenty of local stuff to photograph.... if I can brave the cold and wet.

Snowing here, right now, fingers crossed it will get real heavy and give us 6 inches,...

Still nothing here and I'm at work now (BOOO!)

The skies certainly aren't clear though and its going to arrive any time soon I should wager.

7 miles from home, with a polo shirt and my TP fleece. Sue has the car today too.

We'll see what happens I guess.

Plenty of it here too and still coming down. Nobody has managed to get out of our little lane yet. I've only got 4" or so at the moment so I'm lagging behind janice a little in the depth stakes. ;)

Wandered out to the road a while ago to see what it was like - mobile signal is better there too so rang the boss. Barely any cars moving and apparently the M11 is at a standstill. Our roads don't appear to have been gritted either which is annoying, especially when the radio are telling us that they have!

Right then - where's that camera. Is it a +1 exp comp for snow?!

We got about an inch here and it looks like more to come. I hate the stuff but the only consolation is I can have a serious go for some robin/snow shots. :woot:

LOL @ CT! As soon as I saw you'd posted I KNEW you were going to say that!

Taken about 5 mins ago from the kitchen window....

It's still coming down, and the flakes appear to be getting larger

well no snow here yet, part of me does want it to snow and part of me doesnt as I will have to go out and get matt from work which is about a 45 minute round trip, plenty of time for it to get worse while I am out

I really wish matt could work from home and then i wouldnt be sat here looking at the dark clouds wondering when they are going to drop snow and wondering if I will get to pick matt up and get home before the roads in Bradford grind to a stop.

Waiting for more pictures of the snow outside peoples houses. As I have no snow of my own to photograph

Curse all of you with snow and days off!

Now Matt that's not nice!

Tell you what - we'll all post up pictures so you can see how wet and cold it all is.....oh, and how pretty and sparkly and FUN! ;)

I`m pleased you people further down south have got snow.I woke up this morning and we havent had any.Although a few little flakes are just falling now as I type this.

I love the stuff, as long as I dont have to go anywhere in it. If I'm at work and I have to get home its a nightmare, it took me until 7:30pm to get home once when I was at school - the bus we were on was gridlocked so after sitting on it for 2 hours we got off and walked the 6 miles home.

That was fun, then I had to go to school again the next day. I was freezing :(

As Chewy says, fair bit o' snow here - but it's dissipating pretty fast :)
