finally took delivery of my new shiney 40D today....
spent the last 3 hours trying to work out how to use it, this is my first DSLR having gone from a sony w5 point and shoot jobby....
just got to spend the next 12 months working out what setting to have it on
also picked up a nice crumpler pretty boy xxxl from amazon £37 shipped

I moved upto a 40D last week from my Sony a100.
It's an impressive peice of kit.

Congrats on your new toy.

I reccommend learning how to shoot in M as early as you can as it really is the best mode for general use.

moved onto a B 4 now
bit of a jump from my point and shoot.....had a little play so far but need to do some serious reading to work out what settings to usefor various shots but im sure it will come...after about 12 months
