So there I was happliy shooting away with C41 B&W, and along come you lot wth your home brewed caffenol and your "It's so easy to do B&W yourself" and now I've gone and started aquiring darkroom kit and chemicals to create a (nearly) 100% home brew developing suite.

Curse you all I say. :p

LOL Good for you, you know its worth it :D

Just wait till the 35mm film bug turns to medium format and then large format,
that's when it gets scary.

Don't forget your own loader and bulk film :D
Looked into it, seemed like an awful lot of faffing for very little gain. I can live with off the peg rolls.

That's not likely to happen (Well LF possibly as s novelty), For what I want to achieve 35mm is a perfect balance.

I think I'm about clued up now - just need to decide on my film and to finalise some recipes!

Developing at home really does make a lot of sense, I'm glad you bit the bullet. You'll have a far wider range of emulsions to choose from compared to C-41 B&W, faster and slower speeds and more control over your final images.

Ahh....you're only tickling it, where's your darkroom and enlarger..........ya lightweight...
