There was an option to fill in the 'other' box.

Well I was honest in one bit and said "I use colour film and haven't used B\W properly for about 14 years" IIRC their colour film was inferior so I didn't even use that.

My buying habits are standard. I've only bought cameras from high street shops except for a Wista (from Teamwork, via internet) and a Walker SF from Mike Walker directly (internet purchase, then) and a Mamiya RZ67 from the importers at Focus one year. That covers all the 13 cameras I've (ever) bought.

I found the question on why I first chose film more challenging to answer, so I replied that it was simpler than learning the wet plate process, and I didn't have a camera that could use plates at the time anyway. But more honestly, I simply didn't know that there was an alternative in the 1950s.

if you still have the rz, theres a video on youtube of converting a rb67 film back to wet plate :O rz is surely similer :)

The question was "what first attracted you to using film?" and aged about 8 and having been given an 828 film format camera I knew no better.

Yes, I do have the RZ67 and do use it when I want a small and light camera - except when I really want something miniature and take a C330f. I must try to see how to use wet plate on an RZ67 though.

That question was for the youngens...... for me that's all there was when I first used a camera :D
