No
I just heard the dulcet tones
of an ice cream van.

I'll give him 10/10 for effort anyway :D

my youngest lad is deaf....but i swear to god he can hear an ice cream van from 3 streets away :p

I love wandering along the sea front in a near gale with icicles imminent with an ice cream!

Well we know you are strange so thats a given
:D

Don't you know that they play the music to let you know they've run out of ice cream - well that's what I heard one Mother had told her kids:D
Yep I've heard that before,
and so have my kids :D

Lemonade, sweets, chocolate, crisps, cigs, etc, etc. You'd be surprised! ;)

Well as mine have long since grown up, I didn't realise they had branched out
into becoming small mobile convenience stores

Ice cream doesn't stop being tasty because it's cold outside! I've about ten litres of choc fudge brownie ben and jerrys in the freezer with my name on it.

CHERRY GARCIA!!

Ice cream van every day round here...rain or shine :-)

It's a nightmare in my house when my nieces are there and the van comes round! The b****r always parks miles away and I have to run. RUN!

Does you good

Were I allowed it I'd have a ice cream van cone any time of the year it could be -20 out and I'd still be on it, but to be honest I cannot so I'll stick to my very nice home made ice cream that follows the recipes put out by atkins :D

You lot are just weird, Ice cream is not for cold days,
the same as a piping hot stew is not for the middle of summer :p

Raspberry pavlova ice cream and extra little meringue nests are my go to right now!

Oh and Ben and jerrys peanut butter one :D

That's practically France!

Anywhere south of Birmingham is a foreign country to me.

And I bet there are some who think of me as a southerner.

Looks like you need some quoting help there ;)
Nope, quoted quotes don't show, in a quote, unless you break the quote.
Would you like some help with that? :p

Now you've just really confused me???
That was easy :D

You quoted me, and asked if I needed help.
My quotes show, but the post you quoted didn't show the quotes, just my post
:D

Yes but why was your comment about me being weird in a quote but your poky tongue smiley wasn't?

Think I'm going back to my corner! :D :D

Samelia are convinced the ice cream man is the binners.

I eat loads of stifado and other stew type dishes on holiday - but then again, the joke about Cretan food is the wife calling "Hurry up! Your dinners getting warm!"

One of my (too many) indulgences is apple pie with vanilla ice cream AND hot custard... (Well, a figure like mine takes a little hard work and sacrifice!!!)

Indeed I am,
(just a few miles north of Watford (y) )
:D

You'd have a valid point if the Watford the saying refers to wasn't in northants ;)

Incidentally our local ice cream van also sells hot chocolate and panini ;)

I think your'll find its a "London saying"
So therefore anywhere North of Watford (Herts) is North to them.

Ah Ok I see what you mean, I double quoted to prove a point and then added the :p

I eat loads of stifado and other stew type dishes on holiday -
I prefer the Greek salad type dishes when I go out there

Nope - saying is north of the watford gap - the watford gap is near the tiny village of watford northants (and more pertinently Watford Gap services on the M1)

You all must live in posh areas, most normal ice cream vans near me are Mr Whippy and those weird lemonade ice lollies etc

Noooooo.....the stuff from vans from isn't real ice cream!
