Looking for one of these for my Daughter, but can't find anywhere selling them. Any ideas / links to stores that do please?
It doesn't have to be an iTrip, just a good quality FM transmitter that will fit to the base of her 5th Gen iPod.

I thought that might be the case, thanks.

Unfortunately, I don't think any of the cheap 3rd party lightning/30pin adaptors work fully so you'll need the official Apple one. Thanks, Apple for changing connection "standards"...

to be fair the old 30 pin had pretty much run its course over the 7-8 years its been around. its big and cumbersome now.

it is annoying that you cant get a line out to 3.5mm now though.

My Daughter bought a cheap adapter, but, of course, it doesn't work and is being sent back.
Looks like she will have to get an official Apple adapter after all.

SOME of the cheap ones will allow the device to charge after a firmware update or cludge but some don't. Rather than mess about, I bit the bullet and stumped up for the Apple one but only really to allow me to use any of the iPods we have to be plugged into my car and a couple of docks that I bought for use in the house.
