Slight change of topic direction...
I found a Monaco Systems target with which I attempted to calibrate my Epson V750. A couple of problems...
Firstly, I cannot see the preview scan well enough (too dark) to resize the frame to the crop marks on the gel. This is using Silverfast 6.6.x and I get a message that the frame is not aligned correctly.. restart. I can only presume I'd have similar problems using other targets?
AFAIK, I have nothing fancy set on the scanner/software.
Have also tried EZcolor (which uses the Monaco targets) that came with the scanner, but, apparently, there is a known problem with this and Silverfast Website says use auto-calibrate (as tried above). I downloaded the updated reference file from Silverfast. Still no joy - this seems more like a brightness/frame alignment issue to me.
OS is Snow Leopard.
Any ideas?
