I'm sure he's shopped in, because that looks like shingle and broken up concrete paving.

I've seen this before, together with a zoomed in shot and another taken moments later when he breaks cover.

I have no reason to think it is p'shopped.

If I recall correctly it's the ruins of a Kosovan bombed out conrete building.

I can see why people think the scene looks smaller than it is.
I saw it straight away, but I thought it was a model toy that somebody had painted and placed in a 'set'.

The scale caught me out as well, I was expecting to see something about to jump out and bite. It was the rifle barrel that I cottoned on to first.
