I'd agree with Keegan - get Joe Cole on. We need some creativity. Heskey is useless.

I normally try and find something positive to say about our performance but tonight the only thing I'm positive about is that we won't win **** all playing like this

My local was flying two huge American flags until last night... now it's two Algerian flags... don't know where they get these things from... :D

I'm sure some PC do-gooder will complain soon anyway, and it'll be war when they're told to take them down... :lol:

Why is Gerrard playing so deep - I thought that was the whole point of why Barry was Key.

Rooney had a mare, his first touch was bab all night.
I don't know anything about football formations but everybody looked out of position, especially Gerrard & Lampard.
Algeria never looked like getting anything but they were clever enough to keep possession, fall down a lot and waste time.
0-0 so it ain't over, that's the only positive..:(

England were absolute rubbish! We couldn't punch our way out of a paper bag! Why does our manager persist with Heskey? I can't see England beating Slovenia. Looks like there will soon a lot of England car flags in the rubbish bins!
 
Shocking, a lot of them just didn't turn up yet again tonite against a really poor team!

Looks like we could easily be on our bikes home at this rate :(
 
It's not all doom and gloom

Same as this year we started the 1990 world cup with a 1-1 then a 0-0 and got out of the group with a 1-0 win in the final group game.

I know we were pants but you just never know.

Look on the bright side - we've only conceeded 1 goal.

Get rid of that clueless idiot asap. A manager who cannot motivate a team at a World Cup? A manager who continues to try and play Gerrard and Lampard when it is clear they cant play together. A manager who leaves Joe Cole on the bench and plays SWP??? A manager who continues to play under performing players!

I've seen better footy watching my 12 year old in practice .This world cup is finished as far as these prima donnas are concerned ,they can't keep the ball ,and when they did have it they panicked ,in their defence though ,Algeria were better than i thought they'd be;half decent infact . Sooner they ditch Cappello the better ,he's stifling them ,their terrified in case they make a mistake (which were in abundance tonight).I normally enjoy watching the English national side play ,it's normally with flare and aggression and pace ,didn't see 1 iota of that tonight ... shame


Yeh ... what was he slevering about now ?(needs a kick up the jacksee )

I feel sorry for Rooney.

He gets sweet FA if he stays up front but if he drops deep to help out we've nothing up front.

Gerrard needs to play further forward otherwise Rooney will keep dropping back.

Gerrard seems unsure where he should be playing as Lampard is in the same boat.

Thought Barry (who did well) would have allowed them two to push on but they just seemed clueless.
 
Just a few weeks ago the national press were publishing articles about Capello going to Inter Milan and the FA were panicking. They quickly got him to sign a new contract.

Now you can just imagine the press tomorrow. They'll be gunning for Capello now!
