Howdy to all you techie sorts out there :)

I'm having a bit of an issue with displaying text on my PC. After a while (anything from a few seconds to a few minutes) text goes all "blocky" - kinda pixelated. It's bloomin' annoying as it makes reading forums - like this one 'ere - difficult.

I'm thinking it's most probably the graphics card driver (it's a ATI Radeon HD 4600 series) but that says it's the latest version (8.970.100.7000 from Nov 2012). Would you say I'm right and what's the best solution - aside from a new card?

The driver for my monitor is also the latest according to the manufacturer's web site.

TIA

Hi steve,

Odd error, nothing is jumping to mind at the moment but does it only effects text or is it everything on the screen?

Are the icons blocky, is this only within a browser? have you tried another browser? Does it happen in notepad?

After a bit of checking I can see it only does this in my browser - Firefox. Haven't checked any other browsers yet, but will later.

Here's what it looks like:

Yeah, I've just been using Chrome on another forum and it's fine so I guess it's a FF issue :(

Problem is I can't get on with Chrome and wouldn't use IE if it was the only browser on the planet so I may have to grin and bear it until I can find a fix :'(

Using FF here Steve, have you any add-ons that might be causing an issue/need updating?

hi steve try deleting and reinstalling ff might sort it update any issues you have hth mike

Was just having a browse with FF in safe mode and it's working fine so I guess I have a dodgy add-on installed.

I'll have to test them and see which one gives me the problem ... I'm thinking the theme is most likely the culprit as the author doesn't appear to keep it up to date as FF updates.

Once I've tracked down the culprit I'll let you know.

Thanks for all the help and suggestions folks ... much appreciated
