Yes, you, plusnet. How can I raise an online ticket when I can't get access from home

And we now stand at 14 mins 44 secs on hold waiting for your help line to answer, despite your site saying the average is 4 minutes 30. Music's not bad though :|

Problems then I take it?

I havn't had to get in contact with mine for a long, long time. Thank god. I have had some horrible experiences with ISP support. I'm sure they would solve problems much quicker if they actually put you through to a technician.

Thats ISP's for you, I'm with talktalk and the email server is always on a wobbler :bang:

Orange dial-up went down here for 24 hours last week ... just rubbed salt in my wounds with my BB tag issue. :bang:
I too was kept for 15 mins waiting to be answered on support ... music was pretty good there also... but jeez... do they think Im deaf!

Went to bed last night, all good, got up this morning no connection. TRied all the usual things.

10CC Dreadlock Holiday :D

Well maybe its affecting others if the queue is long for support??

ah plusnet and there 80s remex tape can't beat it...... bt line fault is even better, go online to report a phone problem and they give you a help number! if i could ring the ******* and number i wouldn't need you $%^£$%£$%$%.
my sympathies dod, altho in fairness to plusnet always found their support to be pretty good. pity everything else is rotten.
pbh

man i was on hold to talktalk for over 30 mins and then got cut off, needless to say the language was not clean!

left them and went to Virgin Media 2mb Broadband and life is great. Had a minor hiccup, phoned them up and they sent an engineer out next day all sorted - great service.

"we think it's a BT fault"

Man, dial up's sloooooowwwwwww :

"we still think it's BT wholesales' fault but their appointment booking system has a fault too, we can't do anything"

:bang: :bang: :bang:

Showdown at Noon ;)

I'm with AOL - have been for about 18 years. I can honestly say, that I have NEVER had any problems or drop outs, even when I was on dial up.

It always starts first time, within a second or two, and is very stable. I can think of only half a dozen times when it's crashed, but it's always a hardware fault, never the program.

I work across the road from the bunch of muppets - I could probably hold a big sign up with your question so that they could read it :bonk:

My ISP answers over 90% of incoming calls within 15 secs. You are told how long you are likely to wait at the outset and it is always overstated. I was once told I could wait 8 minutes!!!! but in the event it was more like 2 mins.

Many apologies for that. The appointment was booked with BT in good faith. I've just spoken to your wife and confirmed the service is still not working. The fault has gone back to BT and we'll keep you updated.

I didn't even know the fault had left BT but PN have obviously rejected it  Maybe it left of it's own free will, will it ever find a home and someone to accept it? :shake:

This must be how you get the phrase

"It's not OUR fault"

So are you still on dial-up now dod...

I mean a 56k modem..:bonk:

Christ they are soooooo slooooowww..

And here was me thinking my 1.1mb connection was slow

I thought all the tales of dial up dinosaurs were myth :D

:bat: :bat: ;)

Yep, dial up at home, since the 14th, the worst bit is I can't even get it to connect at 56k, best I've seen is 37.2  Waste of time looking at picture threads at night, takes all night to load.

If your ISP is owned by pipex, then you have or will have a problem.
My ISP (freedom2surf) was brilliant until pipex bought them out and they just went down hill from then.

yay, it's back, let the spamming begin :D
