Stupid question but its how you learn :help:

What is ISO, and how do i change it on my camera, i have a A330 and i don't know how to work it really that well, i don't know what ISO speed its on and i have no idea how to change the exposure time.

I had a quick look at your camera via Google Dale and it seems to be auto everything with few if any override options and a fixed sensitivity equal to about 100 ISO, so it seems you can't change it?

The ISO rating (International Standards Organisation) is a means of rating the sensitivity of film or sensors with each doubling of the ISO number doubling the sensitivity of the film/sensor.

ISO in terms of digital photography is used to describe a level of light sensitivity. The higher the figure, the more sensertive the sensor becomes meaning faster shutter speeds. But......with the increased sensertivity, you'll see an increase in noise in the image.

If you set the camera into manual mode, it may well allow you to select from a few settings. Your camera is probably on an auto setting.

b****r, grr. So basically its just aim shoot and hope for the best.

I don't know about that tbh.

A quick shuffty round the web has shown the 330 as having an Auto ISO and also selectable between 50 and 400 in manual mode.

I've got it in manual mode at the moment and figured out how to change the iso ;) thanks alot for the help some of my pictures look more warmer and less saturated

Oop!s well done. Didn't mean to post you duff info.

Its ok;), I fondled about with it and got some good pics. thanks for the info guys/girls;)

Joe doesnt say rude things on here any more! I wonder why that is? ;) :D

With small compacts High ISO performance really sucks.... I mean really bad!!

It's down to the size of the sensor which is tiny in comparison to a DSLR.

It has to blow up the image from a few mm to the size you want to print!! Small compact show a lot more of the noise therefore.
