Yes
I Purchased some cheap i shoot triggers of ebay attacthed them all to the camera and the flash etc,

the reciver and the sender both flash when i press the shutter button so it seems to be working but im using a sb400 flast and it just wont fire :(

do i have to use a manual flash to get these to work?

ive changed the settings on my cam to shoot manual flast not ttl

not sure whats going on :cuckoo:

yes i would say so, put a trigger on your camera, and the other on the flash turn the flash on to manual and try it( make sure your flash is not on slave ) other that go back and read the manual slowly in case you've missed something.

If you're using "dumb" triggers setting things on your camera won't change anything because those settings won't be communicated to the flash. You need to set any flash related settings on the flash itself as all the camera is doing is telling the flash to go off.

I had some iShoot PT-04 triggers (before the likes of Yongnuo came along) and they were really unreliable with poor range. If they're still selling the same ones or ones with the same innards then buying them was probably a mistake when you can get a pair of Yongnuo RF-603 for £23.

the sb400 doesnt have any settings at all just and on and off switch :(

so its probs not compatable with my flash and they didnt come with a manual lol

should of spent the extra 7 quid and got the Yongnuo RF-603 then,

ill have to get two cheap flashes with manual mode i think

If there's no way to set anything on the flash at all it probably wouldn't have worked with the RF-603 anyway (or would have just fired at one power level), you'd need something like the Pixel King that lets you set the settings on your camera.

yes i have 603's with a jessops and a TT520 speed lite and they work well, the TT250 was same price as the triggers,so for £50 quid you can set your self back up again
