Is 'tog a word anywhere other than here?

Seeing as no one seems to really like the term does this mean that we will be seeing a lot less of it in future (ever hopeful)

I can't imagine that we will. It seems to have become quite popular in the past year and its out there now.

Change togging to dogging :D That'll stop people using it.

If someone calls you a tog do your pictures suddenly look less professional?

It's just a name - whats all the fuss. You can call me a phoger if you like - it makes no difference to what I do or the way I do it.

And of course if someone is looking to pay a tog to do a shoot then I am hapy to be a tog :-)

On the subject of the English language changing - I agree with Stephen Fry who said:

"It is not a case of loving the language so much you want to preserve every hair on its lovely little head. The fun comes from watching it change and working out how"

I don't mind the word tog or togging but would only use them in certain circumstances - for instance I wouldn't say a wedding photographer on their way to the wedding was going out "togging"... but if the same wedding photographer was out on a weekend taking pictures for fun then I would.

When I first joined this forum I thought that togging was a universally accepted word and casually slipped it in to a conversation at work: "Yeah, I spent Saturday morning togging on Hampstead Heath"..... the laughs I received.... thanks guys! :bonk:
