Having made my mind up to buy a Canon 550D, I have been looking around and there seems to be a T2i 550D aswell, is this the same camera, or is one better or more value for money than the other?
 
Its the same, just the USA branded one. There is also the Kiss X4 which is the Japanese branded one.
Bear in mind only the 550d will have genuine Canon UK warranty
 
Thanks, it's just I can get the 'T2i Rebel' cheaper online than the usual 550D. Just out of curiosity, do you think £420 for the Rebel T2i version is a good price?

Is that body only or with a lens?

You can get the 550d with the 18-55mm kit lens for £500 from Amazon with £30 cash back.
If you don't mind a grey market T2i, then I guess it ok, you just won't be able to send it to canon for warranty repairs, the warranty will be with the seller.
Check out digital rev, Hdew and one stop digital. They are grey market sellers but with established customer service
 
Well it's up to you really. Do you want a genuine canon warranty, or have to send it off to a seller?

Which seller is it online you are looking at?
If I recall digital rev allow you to send it to a repair shop of your choice and send them the bill, which seems better to me than having to send it back to hong kong.
