A-Won-Naa, A-Tew-Ahh,A-Three-Yahh...

I won the fight by 2 submissions and a Lithograph...

As long as we don't go this far

Phew - I'm glad that we don't get too many mod's hanging around in here - slipped out for a couple of hours, and had visions of a custom name-tag by time I got back :)

At least it's improved the mood in here a little...

Hmm, sundial - that'd be okay for a sunny day, iso 100 film and a 10 stop ND I suppose - say 2 hours...

It always amuses me when the 'digital v film' subject raises it's head. It is about the picture (big or small) So, get out and experiment.

Who cares whether it is what it is? It is the picture!

Collectitis - beware unless you are a collector (genuine). I am just like y'all and so I too observe the 'must have lens' syndrome (I've personally experienced it - ££££ :gag:) and the must have the latest camera! Why?

It is THE PICTURE.

The only thing that matters is that you were there and captured something that 'speaks' - the picture.

I'm much the same with discs :)

Discraft, for example, are good but I'd much rather throw a Wham-O Frisbee.

Its the quality I like :)

Thats like saying Vinyl VS CDs, I mix on both, although I like the convienence of CDs, I prefer the control and sound of vinyl, hence I buy most of my music on vinyl :)

Last OT post im sure... but...

do you think this clock would work well for counting elephants/sheep/clouds w/e :p

thought I'd better show one of the results of my elephant counting...

Maybe one elephant less next time

Many of the people saying Film is Dead were probably raving over autofocus or matrix metering or whatever twenty years ago. Fact is photography is incredibly simple but unbelievably difficult to make images you return to time and again.
That being the case I'm a less is more kinda bloke. The fewer things (knobs, buzzers, lights, icons, modes) between me and the subject the better.

Partly the reason I went with a 5D.. Great sensor not all gadgets and wizzbangs...

Besides doesn't everyone know by now that digital is better.........

Well I can't beat it's squeaky clean look, but I can get damn close for IQ of digital, using 35mm film and MF lenses under £25.

Stunning picture, LOVE it :)

I've spent the afternoon out shooting with a 12x6cm pinhole camera. Just a Tripod, Cable release, and me on the end counting elephants 'till I let go of the plunger.

Focusing - nope - it's a pinhole
Composition - point it at the subject and hope
Exposure - look at the sky and say to myself "I reckon thats bright enough for a 7 elephants - maybe 8"

i'll be out with my pinhole today. Don't forget it's Worldwide Pinhole Photography Day click here on the 25th.

i may as well start a new thread, try and get a few more involved :D
