Just been looking for a tripod and came up with this..........

I know the D2X is still available if you look hard enough and they are mainly in Hong Kong at the shocking price of £2800 and yes we found one in the UK about 3 months ago for this figure...........so are they discontinued as my new D2X cost me just over £800 a few months ago but this includes vat and expensive delivery, I am not certain but I think these were discontinued about 2 yrs ago:shrug:

Yes, they are discontinued, but you always find NOS (New Old Stock) cameras kicking around. My D70s came new from Jessops about 2 years after it was discontinued....
