The thread about the park in the south west that refuses to admit single adults to, allegedly, protect children, reminded me of something I spotted a couple of weeks ago.

I had an email from a mate who said at the weekend he was going to tackle some huge creeping plant that was all over his back garden fence. I was going to say I hoped it wasn't Russian Vine, but knowing he doesn't know a lot about plants I thought I'd send him a photo of a Russian Vine with my reply, so I Googled for it.

I was a bit surprised to see the fourth result was from Mumsnet – why was Russian Vine a subject of Mumsnet? I had never been on Mumsnet; so I had a look.

The question I found was -

“We have a 6ft tall 40ft long trellis type fence betteen us an our neighbour and no chance of us being able to replace it for about 150 years.

Our neighbour's lovely but i do worry about him spying on my builders bum when I am weeding etc and i'm wary of letting the kids out in the nude etc.

I know russian vines are a b****r to get rid of but I cant think of anything else which would do the job quickly.”

I know this is only one posting from, I assume, many thousands on Mumsnet, but is this normal for the site, or have I just happened on an unusual one?

Why is a builder posting on Mumsnet?

It's normal. Total fruitcakes.

Maybe if she pulled her trousers up or wore a belt she wouldnt have the danger of exposing her hairy bum crack.

Unfortunately, this kind of thing appears to be pretty much the standard on Mumsnet.

I had one a few ago, that was a few years old.
I had heard of its reputation, but I soon killed it. Wasn't that hard TBH

But back on topic,

I know this is only one posting from, I assume, many thousands on Mumsnet, but is this normal for the site, or have I just happened on an unusual one?

I could always go incognito as "Christine" and
find a more suitable avatar, like a pair of boobs or something?
Would that work?

She probably went for Japanese Knot weed in the end.
